Pressure Sensor having a Ceramic Platform
A pressure sensor, including a platform of ceramic, a measuring membrane arranged on the platform, a pressure measuring chamber enclosed in the platform under the measuring membrane, and at least one metal body connected with the platform via a pressure-tight, preferably elastomer free, mechanical connection. Thermomechanical stresses arising from the connection are reduced by features including that the pressure-tight, mechanical connection occurs via an adapting body arranged between the platform and the metal body. The adapting body has a thermal expansion coefficient, which rises in direction (z) extending from the platform to the metal body from a coefficient of expansion corresponding to a thermal coefficient of expansion of the ceramic of the platform to a coefficient of expansion corresponding to the thermal coefficient of expansion of the metal body, and the adapting body is connected by a first joint with the platform and by a second joint with the metal body.
Multi-Layer Plate Device
A method for the joining of ceramic pieces with a hermetically sealed joint comprising brazing a continuous layer of joining material between the two pieces. The wetting and flow of the joining material is controlled by the selection of the joining material, the joining temperature, the time at temperature, the joining atmosphere, and other factors. The ceramic pieces may be aluminum nitride and the pieces may be brazed with an aluminum alloy under controlled atmosphere. The joint material is adapted to later withstand both the environments within a process chamber during substrate processing, and the oxygenated atmosphere which may be seen within the shaft of a heater or electrostatic chuck.
JOINED BODY INCLUDING CERAMIC MEMBER AND METALLIC MEMBER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING JOINED BODY
A joined body 10 is manufactured by joining a Mo- or Ti-made terminal 14 having a Ni coating, a Au coating, a NiAu coating (with Ni Serving as a base) to a recess 12a formed in a plate-shaped ceramic member 12 made of alumina or aluminum nitride through a joint layer 16. The joint layer 16 contains Au, Sn, Ag, Cu, and Ti and is in contact with a bottom surface of the recess 12a and with at least part of a side surface of the recess 12a (the entire side surface in this case). In the joint layer 16, its joint interface with the ceramic member 12 is Ti-rich. When the joined body 10 is cut in its thickness direction, the ratio of the total cross sectional area of pores to the cross-sectional area of the joint layer 16 (porosity) is 0.1 to 15%.

This power module substrate includes a copper plate that is formed of copper or a copper alloy and is laminated on a surface of a ceramic substrate 11; a nitride layer 31 that is formed on the surface of the ceramic substrate 11 between the copper plate and the ceramic substrate 11; and an AgCu eutectic structure layer 32 having a thickness of 15 m or less that is formed between the nitride layer and the copper plate.
Method for manufacture of a multi-layer plate device
SEALS FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE REACTIVE MATERIAL DEVICES
The disclosure provides seals for devices that operate at elevated temperatures and have reactive metal vapors, such as lithium, sodium or magnesium. In some examples, such devices include energy storage devices that may be used within an electrical power grid or as part of a standalone system. The energy storage devices may be charged from an electricity production source for later discharge, such as when there is a demand for electrical energy consumption.
CUTTING INSERT, CUTTING TOOL COMPRISING SUCH AN INSERT AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING AND REPAIRING SUCH A TOOL
The invention relates to an insert brazed on a body of cutting tools (101), consisting of: a metal substrate (11), in the form of plates, having a surface for attachment to the tool body; a high-temperature, brazing, alloy layer (12); an intermediate layer; and a ceramic plate (14). The brazing alloy layer connects the metal substrate (11) of the ceramic plate (14) via the metal layer (13). A low-temperature brazing layer (1) connects the insert (1, 1) to the body of the tool (101).
Preparation method for copper plate-covered silicon nitride ceramic substrate
A preparation method for a copper plate-covered silicon nitride ceramic substrate is provided. The structure of the copper plate-covered silicon nitride ceramic substrate includes a silicon nitride ceramic substrate, copper sheets disposed on the upper and lower sides of the silicon nitride ceramic substrate and soldering layers disposed between the copper sheets and the silicon nitride ceramic substrate; the composition of the silicon nitride ceramic substrate comprises a silicon nitride phase (more than or equal to 95 wt %); and a grain boundary phase (containing at least three elements (Y, Mg and O) and less than or equal to 5 wt %, and the content of a crystalline phase in the grain boundary phase is more than or equal to 40 vol %); and the sintering aids are Y.sub.2O.sub.3 and MgO.
