CERAMIC SUBSTRATE, LAYERED BODY, AND SAW DEVICE
A ceramic substrate is formed of a polycrystalline ceramic and has a supporting main surface. The supporting main surface has a roughness of 0.01 nm or more and 3.0 nm or less in terms of Sa. The number of projections and depressions with a height of 1 nm or more in a square region with 50 μm sides on the supporting main surface is less than 5 on average, and the number of projections and depressions with a height of 2 nm or more in the square region is less than 1 on average.
ELECTROCALORIC EFFECT ELEMENT
An electrocaloric effect element includes a laminate including an electrode layer mainly including Pt and a ceramic layer that are stacked, in which the ceramic layer has a perovskite structure and mainly includes a ceramic including Pb, Sc, and Ta, where a content ratio of Sc is y, a content ratio of Ta is 1−y, and a range of the y is about 0.450≤y≤about 0.495.
Method for joining substrates
The invention relates to a method of joining substrates. It is the object of the invention in this respect to join substrates of substrate materials together without having to exert an increased effort for a coating with additional coating processes to be carried out and to be able to achieve a good quality of the join connection in so doing. In the method in accordance with the invention a pretreatment of at least one join surface of a substrate to be joined is carried out in low pressure oxygen plasma prior to the actual joining. On the joining, a contact force acts on the substrates to be joined in the range 2 kPa to 5 MPa and in this process a heat treatment is carried out at an elevated temperature of at least 100° C. and at under pressure conditions of a maximum of 10 mbar, preferably <10.sup.−3 mbar.

The present disclosure discloses the laminated ceramic chimp component including an element part having a ceramic main body and an internal electrode placed in the ceramic main body; an external electrode part having a first external electrode and a second external electrode, the first and second external electrodes being provided with side electrodes covering both side surfaces of the ceramic main body, respectively, upper electrodes covering portions of both sides of an upper surface of the ceramic main body, respectively, and lower electrodes covering portions of both sides of a lower surface of the ceramic main body, respectively; and a nano thin film layer formed of electric insulation material and applied to a region including the upper electrodes, the method for manufacturing the same and the atomic layer deposition apparatus for the same.
Dielectric Ceramic Composition and Ceramic Capacitor Using the Same
The present invention discloses a dielectric ceramic formula enabling one to obtain a multilayer ceramic capacitor by alternatively stacking the ceramic dielectric layers and base metal internal electrodes. The dielectric ceramic composition comprises a primary ingredient:
[(Na.sub.1-xK.sub.x).sub.sA.sub.1-s].sub.m[(Nb.sub.1-yTa.sub.y).sub.uB1.sub.vB2.sub.w)]O.sub.3
wherein:
A is at least one selected from the alkaline-earth element group of Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba;
B1 is at least one selected from the group of Ti, Zr, Hf and Sn;
B2 is at least one selected from transition metal elements;
and wherein:
x, y, s, u, v, and w are molar fractions of respective elements, and m is the molar ratio of [(Na.sub.1-xK.sub.x).sub.sA.sub.1-s] and [(Nb.sub.1-yTa.sub.y).sub.uB1.sub.vB2.sub.w)]. They are in the following respective range:
0.93≤m≤1.07;
0.7≤s≤1.0;
0.00≤x≤0.05; 0.00≤y≤0.65;
0.7≤u≤1.0; 0.0≤v≤0.3; 0.001≤w≤0.100;
a first sub-component composes of at least one selected from the rare-earth compound,
wherein the rare-earth element is no more than 10 mol % parts with respect to the main component; and
a second sub-component composes a compound with low melting temperature to assist the ceramic sintering process, said frit, which is Li free and could be at least one selected from fluorides, silicates, borides, and oxides. The content of frit is within the range of 0.01 mol % to 15.00 mol % parts with respect to the main component.
POROUS CERAMIC LAMINATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A porous ceramic laminate, which can reduce pressure loss of a fluid, includes a first porous layer and a second porous layer. The second porous layer is laminated on, in contact with or via air, the first porous layer. A part of the second porous layer is laminated on, in contact with, the first porous layer. Each of the first porous layer and the second porous layer contains a metal oxide. A ratio Da/Db of an average pore diameter Da of the first porous layer relative to an average pore diameter Db of the second porous layer is 10 or more. A proportion of a portion in which a distance between the first porous layer and the second porous layer is smaller than 1 μm is 70% or less.
System and method for integrated deposition and heating
Herein disclosed is a method of manufacturing comprises depositing a composition on a substrate slice by slice to form an object; heating in situ the object using electromagnetic radiation (EMR); wherein said composition comprises a first material and a second material, wherein the second material has a higher absorption of the radiation than the first material. In an embodiment, the EMR has a wavelength ranging from 10 to 1500 nm and the EMR has a minimum energy density of 0.1 Joule/cm.sup.2. In an embodiment, the EMR comprises UV light, near ultraviolet light, near infrared light, infrared light, visible light, laser, electron beam. In an embodiment, said object comprises a catalyst, a catalyst support, a catalyst composite, an anode, a cathode, an electrolyte, an electrode, an interconnect, a seal, a fuel cell, an electrochemical gas producer, an electrolyser, an electrochemical compressor, a reactor, a heat exchanger, a vessel, or combinations thereof.
MULTILAYER CERAMIC CAPACITOR
A multilayer ceramic capacitor that includes a ceramic body including a stack of a plurality of dielectric layers and a plurality of first and second internal electrodes; and first and second external electrodes provided at each of both end faces of the ceramic body. Each of the plurality of dielectric layers contain Ba, Ti, P and Si. The plurality of dielectric layers include an outer dielectric layer located on an outermost side in the stacking direction; an inner dielectric layer located between the first and second internal electrodes; and a side margin portion in a region where the first and second internal electrodes do not exist. In at least one of the outer dielectric layer, the inner dielectric layer and the side margin portion, the P and the Si segregate in at least one of grain-boundary triple points of three ceramic particles.
CO-FIRING OF LOW FIRING TEMPERATURE DIELECTRIC MATERIALS WITH HIGH BISMUTH GARNET FERRITES FOR MINIATURIZED ISOLATORS AND CIRCULATORS
A method of forming a composite material for use as an isolator or circulator in a radiofrequency device comprises providing a low temperature fireable outer material, the low fireable outer material having a garnet or scheelite structure, inserting a high dielectric constant inner material having a dielectric constant above 30 within an aperture in the low temperature fireable outer material, and co-firing the lower temperature fireable outer material and the high dielectric constant inner material together at temperature between 650-900° C. to shrink the low temperature fireable outer material around an outer surface of the high dielectric constant inner material to form an integrated magnetic/dielectric assembly without the use of adhesive or glue.
MXene layers as substrates for growth of highly oriented perovskite thin films
The present disclosure is directed to using MXene compositions as templates for the deposition of oriented perovskite films, and compositions derived from such methods. Certain specific embodiments include methods preparing an oriented perovskite, perovskite-type, or perovskite-like film, the methods comprising: (a) depositing at least one perovskite, perovskite-type, or perovskite-like composition or precursor composition using chemical vapor deposition (CVD), physical vapor deposition (PVD), or atomic layer deposition (ALD) onto a film or layer of a MXene composition supported on a substrate to form a layered composition or precursor composition; and either (b) (1) heat treating or annealing the layered precursor composition to form a layered perovskite-type structure comprising at least one oriented perovskite, perovskite-type, or perovskite-like composition; or (2) annealing the layered composition; or (3) both (1) and (2).
