Single use inserter system comprising a housing part and a lid part, the inserter system comprising a carrier part in an initial position in the housing and a drive unit comprising a first drive part attached to the housing, the drive unit comprising at least one spring element supported by the first drive part, wherein the drive unit is configured for moving the carrier part from a first position to a second position in relation to the housing in an insertion direction along a first axis. The inserter system comprises a transcutaneous device having a proximal surface and a distal surface, wherein the transcutaneous device is detachably attached to the carrier part, the inserter system comprising at least one transport protection element preventing movement of the carrier part in a direction along the first axis thereby supporting the carrier part in the initial position.

Surgical visualization systems and related methods

Surgical visualization systems and related methods are disclosed herein, e.g., for providing visualization during surgical procedures. Systems and methods herein can be used in a wide range of surgical procedures, including spinal surgeries such as minimally-invasive fusion or discectomy procedures. Systems and methods herein can include various features for enhancing end user experience, improving clinical outcomes, or reducing the invasiveness of a surgery. Exemplary features can include access port integration, hands-free operation, active and/or passive lens cleaning, adjustable camera depth, and many others.

Access device

An access device places a medical article within a body space of a patient. The device has a needle that includes an elongated body and a needle hub. The device further includes a dilator disposed on and slideable along the elongated body of the needle and a medical article. The medical article is disposed on and slideable along the dilator. A track extends in a proximal direction from the dilator. The needle hub slides along at least a portion of the track between a first position and a second position. The device further includes a locking mechanism operably disposed between the track and the needle hub so as to inhibit further axial movement of the needle in the proximal direction when the needle hub is in the second position.

Insulated Pedicle Access System and Related Methods

A pedicle access system including a cannula, a stylet, and a removable T-handle. The pedicle access system may be used to percutaneously approach the pedicle, initiate pilot hole formation, and conduct a stimulation signal to the target site for the purposes of performing a pedicle integrity assessment during the pilot hole formation. To do this, the cannula and stylet are locked in combination and inserted through an operating corridor to the pedicle target site, using the T-handle to facilitate easy movement and positioning of the cannula/stylet combination. A stimulation signal may be applied during pilot hole formation to conduct the pedicle integrity assessment. In a significant aspect, the T-handle may be detached from the cannula/stylet combination to facilitate the use of various surgical tools as necessary.

SCOPE AND MAGNETIC INTRODUCER SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Exemplary scope systems and methods involve a cannula assembly, a sheath assembly, and a tubing set. A cannula assembly, which may be a non-magnetic scope cap assembly, can include a cannula body, a proximal housing having a strap, an optical window, and a luer for suction or flushing. A cannula body may include a first lumen or scope channel for receiving a visualization device such as an endoscope or laparoscope, a distal end having suction or flushing flush apertures, and a second lumen for providing fluid communication between the apertures and the luer. Exemplary magnetic introducer systems and methods involve a cannula assembly, a sheath assembly, a tubing set. In some cases, the cannula assembly of a magnetic introducer system can be a magnetic scope cap assembly. In addition to cannula and sheath assemblies, magnetic introducer systems can include a magnetic introducer tubing assembly and a stylet assembly.

Introducer with tissue pocket optimizer

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods that include a housing having a proximal portion including a proximal opening, distal portion including a distal opening, and an intermediate portion sized to contain a medical device; and an inserter having at least a portion comprising a greater width than at least one other portion of the inserter.

Endoscopic surgical device and overtube
11284781 · 2022-03-29 · ·

This endoscopic surgical device includes: an endoscope; a treatment tool; and a mantle tube. The inside of the mantle tube is partitioned by a partition wall member provided with an endoscope guide groove and a treatment-tool guide groove, to form an endoscope insertion passage and a treatment-tool insertion passage. An endoscope fixation tool and a treatment-tool fixation tool are respectively disposed inside the endoscope guide groove and the treatment-tool guide groove. The endoscope fixation tool advances and retracts in conjunction with the endoscope insertion part inserted through the endoscope insertion passage. The treatment-tool fixation tool moves in conjunction with the treatment-tool insertion part inserted through the treatment-tool insertion passage. When a coupling ring externally fitted to the partition wall member interlocks the endoscope fixation tool with the treatment-tool fixation tool, the endoscope insertion part also moves in conjunction with the advancement and retraction of the treatment-tool insertion part.

Adapter assembly including a removable trocar assembly

An adapter assembly for connecting a loading unit to a handle assembly is provided. The adapter assembly includes a sleeve, a trocar assembly releasably securable with the sleeve, and a locking mechanism configured to releasably secure the trocar assembly within the sleeve.

Clip collar advanced fixation

A collar for a surgical access device includes an annular body laterally attachable to a cannula of the surgical access device. A spring is coupled to the annular body and movable between an uncompressed state and a compressed state. The spring is configured to manipulate the annular body between a first condition and a second condition to selectively fix the annular body at predetermined locations along the cannula or to laterally remove the annular body from the cannula while the cannula is supported within a patient's body.
