INTEGRATED TARGETED KYPHOPLASTY SYSTEM
An integrated targeted kyphoplasty system includes a piercing head, a tube body and a tube body handle. The tube body has an end connected to the piercing head and is provided with a balloon and a guider at an end of the balloon, and another end connected to the tube body handle and provided with a guide knob for controlling the guider to be bent and a pressure pump connector communicating the balloon. The piercing head is provided with a cement outlet, a cement channel is in center of the tube body, and the tube body handle is provided with a cement inlet. The cement outlet, cement channel and cement inlet communicate with each other. The device requires for only one piercing to complete entire KP surgical treatment without changing any tools, greatly decreasing radiation exposure rate of the patient during operation and the pain caused by multiple operations.
MARROW ASPIRATION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A bone marrow aspiration device may include a housing having a proximal end and a distal end; a cannula, insertable into a tissue, extending from the distal end; a ratcheting mechanism coupled to the housing; a reservoir configured to receive a fluid; an actuator operatively coupled to the ratcheting mechanism and to a distal surface of the bone marrow aspiration device such that user-actuation of the actuator actuates the ratcheting mechanism to draw fluid through the cannula, into the housing, and into the reservoir, and retracts the cannula relative to the distal surface.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRAINING CYSTIC FLUIDS FROM JOINTS
A method and apparatus for treating a synovial cyst is disclosed. The method includes determining a presence and location of a cyst within a body, penetrating the cyst through a penetration bore to release a synovial fluid accumulation from within the cyst. A suction is applied to the cyst to via the penetration bore to extract a volume of the fluid accumulation from within the cyst. A weeping tube is inserted in the penetration bore to communicate synovial fluid from the cyst to maintain the cyst in a depressed condition for a predetermined temporal period. The weeping tube an external sidewall and an interior channel configured to communicate a synovial fluid from the synovial cyst. A plurality of protrusions about the external sidewall engage with a body tissue surrounding a penetration bore in the body tissue to retain the weeping tube at a desired placement within the penetration bore.
Orbital trocar device with detachable handle and associated methods
The present disclosure provides methods for forming or enlarging holes in bone tissue and methods for fixing matched medical plates to bodies. The present disclosure also provides for products produced by the methods of the present disclosure and for apparatuses used to perform the methods of the present disclosure.
Orbital trocar hole carving device with detachable handle and associated methods
The present disclosure provides methods for forming or enlarging holes in objects. Objects may include bone tissue and methods for fixing matched medical plates to bodies. The movable trocar with toroidal interface is adjustable relative to the surface. The present disclosure also provides for products produced by the methods of the present disclosure and for apparatuses used to perform the methods of the present disclosure.
Arthroscopic cannula
Disclosed is an arthroscopic cannula to solve the problem of more wounds being created due to the use of a plurality of cannulas in a conventional arthroscopic surgery. The arthroscopic cannula includes a cannula body, a spacer provided inside the cannula body and extending axially along the cannula body to divide an internal space of the cannula body into a first chamber and a second chamber, and a joint connected to one end of the cannula body. The interior of the joint intercommunicates with the first chamber and the second chamber.
Safety shields for elongated instruments and related systems and methods
A system for intraosseous access can include an elongated instrument that is positioned within a cannula portion of a cannula assembly. The system can include a shield that is coupled with both the elongated instrument and the cannula assembly when in an unlocked state. The shield can permit proximal movement of the elongated instrument relative thereto when in the unlocked state. The shield can automatically transition to a locked state to attach to a distal end of the elongated instrument to restrict access to a distal tip of the elongated instrument.
Osteotome with a distal portion for simultaneous advancement and articulation
Medical devices for creating or expanding a cavity within bone of a patient are disclosed. In some circumstances, a medical device, such as an osteotome is designed to facilitate simultaneous advancement and articulation of a distal portion of the osteotome. Simultaneous advancement and articulation of the distal portion may reduce one or more forces on the distal portion of the osteotome relative to other methods in which advancement and articulation are separated in time, thereby decreasing the risk of breakage or other damage to the osteotome.
Intraosseous Catheter Placement Confirmation Device and Method
A portable device is configured to connect directly to an intraosseous (IO) catheter and provide a clinician with actionable information to determine whether the catheter is placed correctly, such as whether the catheter is placed in the medullary cavity of bone. The device provides this information leveraging the presence or absence of arterial pressure waveforms. A method for assessing placement of an intraosseous catheter includes coupling a pressure transducer to an IO catheter placed in tissue, obtaining a continuous pressure waveform from a pressure signal provided by the pressure transducer, and assessing placement of the catheter based on the continuous pressure waveform.
EXTRUDED HONEYCOMB CATALYST
Disclosed are an extruded honeycomb catalyst, a process for preparing the catalyst, a method for reducing NOx in the exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine by using the catalyst, and a method for treatment of the emission gas generated from power plant comprising exposing the emission gas to the catalyst.
