CANNULA WITH CURVED END
A cannula apparatus including an outer tube with an elongated body and a groove, an inner tube disposed inside the outer tube and being manipulable through the groove, and a cap including a hole, the cap mounted at one end of the outer tube through the hole, in which the inner tube is freely slidable relative to the outer tube.
METHOD OF MAKING A SEALED LUMEN AND ASSOCIATED COMPUTING MODULE
A method of making an introducer includes providing a translucent material that is formed into an elongate introducer, wherein the introducer has a lumen on an end thereof, and sealing the lumen with a sealing mechanism, wherein the seal is one of a duckbill seal or a one-way valve.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR CONDUIT OCCLUSION
The present invention comprises systems, methods and devices for the delivery of compositions for occluding or of means for opening conduits. The implantable occlusive material may be delivered pre-formed or in situ cured and, may be a resorbable material that supports tissue ingrowth that eventually replaces the material leaving little or no original material in place. The delivery system is positioned to allow for placement of the occlusive material into the body conduit. Use of delivery systems, methods and devices for re-opening an occluded body conduit are also included.
Packing Coil
An occlusion device formed of a microcoil having a three-dimensional relaxed state employing open looped portions interposed between closed loop portions. Planes defined by sequentially formed open looped and closed loop portions are neither coincident nor parallel to one another.
Uterine Manipulator
A uterine manipulator can include a shaft including a first end, a second end, and a channel along an axis of the shaft, a handle coupled to the first end of the shaft, and a triangular balloon coupled to the second end of the shaft. The triangular balloon can be configured to inflate upon insertion into a vagina via a fluid injected into the channel of the shaft.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR THE TREATMENT OF POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME
Described here are methods and systems for the manipulation of ovarian tissues. The methods and systems may be used in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The systems and methods may be useful in the treatment of infertility associated with PCOS.
Controlling a size of a pylorus
Systems and methods are provided for reversibly controlling a size and/or restricting the movement of a body orifice, such as a pyloric opening, using an implantable device configured to allow a distance between opposed ends thereof to be adjusted. A device is provided having attachment members and a connector portion extending therebetween and configured such that a size of the pyloric opening is decreased upon the implantation of the device. The connector can be adjustable to allow a size of the pyloric opening to be adjusted after it has been restricted. The connector can include two or more bridge portions having different lengths such that cutting a first bridge portion can increase the distance between the attachment members so as to increase the size of the pyloric opening. To revert to a natural size of the body orifice, the entire connector can be cut or otherwise broken and/or removed.
VAGINAL ENDOSCOPIC PORT UNIT MODULE
The present invention relates to a laparoscopic port unit module in which one end thereof and the other end are placed inside and outside the human body, respectively, through the vaginal inlet, and provides a vaginal endoscopic port unit module comprising: an outer unit of which the end is exposed to the outside of the vaginal inlet and which comprises one or more outer ports allowing the entry of a surgical instrument including an endoscope; an inner unit formed at the inner wall of the vaginal canal so as to be placed at an incision region connected to the abdominal cavity and allowing the surgical instrument entering through the outer port to come in and out of the abdominal cavity; and a runner unit for connecting the outer unit and the inner unit.
Methods and apparatus for occlusion of body lumens
The invention describes methods and apparatus for creating permanent occlusion of body lumens such as the fallopian tubes. The methods and apparatus use non-surgical approaches to deliver permanent implants which create acute occlusion of desired body lumens which resolve to permanent occlusions of the lumens.
Low-Cost Instrument for Endoscopically Guided Operative Procedures
Instalments and methods are described for performing endoscopically guided operative procedures. According to some embodiments, a re-usable portion of the instrument includes a handle, electronics and an integrated display screen while a fluid hub and a cannula which includes a CMOS imaging module and LED lighting, form a single use portion of the instrument. The cannula includes a working channel configured to accept an operative device for performing the operative procedures.
