Uterine manipulator

A uterine manipulator device includes: an elongated cannulated tube having proximal and distal ends, a cervical cup positioned on the elongated cannulated tube with a top distal portion of a first diameter and a base proximal portion of a second smaller diameter, and an occluder assembly comprising an occluder positioned proximally from the cervical cup on the elongated cannulated tube, the occluder having a body with at least one primary rib and at least two secondary ribs, wherein a diameter of at least one secondary rib is smaller than the diameter of the primary rib.

Functional uterine manipulator

A uterine manipulator can include a shaft including a first end, a second end, and a channel along an axis of the shaft, a handle coupled to the first end of the shaft, and a triangular balloon coupled to the second end of the shaft. The triangular balloon can be configured to inflate upon insertion into a vagina via a fluid injected into the channel of the shaft.

Robotic uterine manipulators with rollable sleeves

A uterine manipulator includes an elongated shaft, a colpotomy cup supported on the elongated shaft, a distal shaft extending distally from the colpotomy cup to a distal tip, and a rollable sleeve supported on the distal tip.

Distal Tips of Surgical Tools and Related Methods

A distal tip of a surgical tool includes a tip body and an expandable member that extends around the tip body. The tip body defines an end portion that defines an attachment surface and an elongate member that is configured to be inserted within a tubular shaft of the surgical tool. The elongate member also defines a recessed channel that terminates at the end portion. The expandable member is secured to the attachment surface with a chemical bond and is adjustable between an expanded configuration in which at least a portion of the expandable member extends radially outward from the tip body and a collapsed configuration in which at least the portion of the expandable member is oriented substantially parallel to the tip body.

A procedure for repairing and treating pelvic prolapses in a female patient, whereas the pelvic organs include vagina, cervix, uterus, bladder, urethra and rectum, comprises the following steps: providing an elongated tendon-type implant having a first end and a second end, attaching the first end of the implant to the longitudinal ligament of the patient, attaching the second end of the implant to the pelvic organ of the patient, wherein the attachment of the implant is to be made under tension so that the pelvic organ is raised from the prolapsed position to a normal position.

POSTPARTUM UTERINE HEMORRHAGE DEVICE

An anti-hemorrhaging device includes an elongate body, a flexible looped segment, a shield, and an inflatable seal. The elongate body is configured to attach to a vacuum source. The flexible looped segment is attached to the elongate body includes a plurality of holes on an inner circumference thereof. The flexible looped segment is configured to be placed in a uterus. Activation of the vacuum source is configured to pull vacuum through the plurality of holes so as to collapse the uterus upon insertion of the elongate body into the uterus. The shield is folded around an exterior circumference of the looped portion and has edges that extend radially inwards relative to the flexible looped distal section. The shield is configured to prevent tissue from occluding the plurality of holes when vacuum is applied. The inflatable seal is attached to the elongate body and is configured to seal the uterus.

THREE-PRONG LAPAROSCOPIC GRASPING DEVICE

A three-prong grasper for laparoscopic procedures includes an elongate body having a sleeve with a distal portion, and an end effector supported on the distal portion. The end effector includes a first prong assembly with a first base member and a first prong member pivotally secured to the first base member, a second prong assembly with a second base member and a second prong member pivotally secured to the second base member, and a third prong assembly with a third base member and a third prong member pivotally secured to the third base member. The first, second, and third prong members move between an open configuration and a closed configuration. A method of grasping tissue also includes pivoting first, second, and/or third prong members relative to respective first, second, and third base members to cause the grasping of tissue.

The invention consists of an expansion catheter for intrauterine placement, featuring anatomical characteristics adaptable to the different morphologies of the uterine organ in its internal cavities, and which efficiently enables the dilatation and separation of the internal walls of the cavity subsequent to their reduction in the surgical process of endometrial scraping in the different surgical techniques of the procedure, in order to serve as a separator and isolator in the prevention of intrauterine adhesions, facilitating drainage both internally through the device and perimetrally. The device, containing an expansion device in a collapsed state, is placed in the uterus by means of an insertion device with the aid of a pusher, which is discarded together with the insertion device once the unit is in place.

ROBOTIC UTERINE MANIPULATORS

A uterine manipulator includes an elongated shaft assembly, a colpotomy cup supported on the elongated shaft assembly, and a tip assembly. The tip assembly extends distally from the colpotomy cup and has a piercing tip configured to pierce tissue.
