A uterine manipulator includes an elongated shaft, a colpotomy cup supported on the elongated shaft, a distal shaft extending distally from the colpotomy cup to a distal tip, and a rollable sleeve supported on the distal tip.

Uterine cavity biocompatible seal

A method includes: delivering a biodegradable expandable member into a body cavity of a patient; insufflating the biodegradable expandable member in the body cavity to expand the body cavity; sealing the biodegradable expandable member against an inner wall of the body cavity to seal the body cavity internally; and delivering an endoscope into the body cavity.

An end effector assembly of a tissue resection device. The end effector assembly including a first cut guide including a first support surface that extends from a first proximal end portion to a first distal end portion including a first outer distal portion, and a second cut guide located around the first cut guide. The second cut guide having a second support surface that extends from a second proximal end portion to a second distal end portion having a second outer distal portion. The first outer distal portion located distal of the second outer distal portion and the first outer distal portion being located farther laterally from the longitudinal axis than the second outer distal portion. The end effector assembly further including a cutting device located between the first and second cut guides.

A uterine manipulator includes a shaft defining a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, a handle operably coupled to the proximal end portion of the shaft, and a distal assembly operably coupled to the distal end portion of the shaft. The distal assembly includes a colpotomy cup and an elongated tip extending distally from the colpotomy cup. At least a portion of the distal assembly is releasable from the distal end portion of the shaft and configured to engage tissue and to operably couple to a surgical tool to enable the surgical tool to perform at least one surgical task on tissue engaged by the at least a portion of the distal assembly.

Device for use in hysteroscopy

A device for visualization of internal tissue of a patient's uterus having a hand-held control unit, an elongated member, and an image capturing tip. To increase the manoeuvrability of the image capturing tip, the elongated member forms a straight portion extending along a straight axis and a curved portion forming a curvature away from the straight axis, the curved portion being between the image capturing tip and the straight portion. By rotation of an inner tube in an outer tube, the image capturing structure will move along a circular path without being rotated about the centre axis of the elongated member.

Uterine manipulator with detachable cup and locking occluder

A uterine manipulator includes a handle and a central shaft that extends distally from the handle. The central shaft includes a distal end portion supporting a balloon. The central shaft also supports a cervical cup. An occluder shaft is slidably supported on the central shaft. A non-inflatable plug is secured to the occluder shaft and configured to move with the occluder shaft as the occluder shaft slides along the central shaft.

Tools and methods for vaginal access

Trocar components and methods of use are described, wherein the trocar components are configured to provide access to intraperitoneal space via the rectouterine pouch to surgical tools, which optionally include one or more surgical robot members. The surgical tools are optionally 5 mm or more in diameter. In some embodiments, a cannula part has a lumen sized to provide to a plurality of the surgical tools simultaneous transvaginal access to the intraperitoneal space via the rectouterine pouch. In some embodiments, an incision sized to receive a distal aperture of the cannula is created, optionally using one or two dilators. The dilators are sized to create (optionally starting from a puncture by a needle 2 mm in diameter or less) an oblong aperture. In some embodiments, the oblong aperture is at least twice as wide across a long diameter as across a short diameter.

GYNECOLOGICAL DEVICE

The present invention relates to a gynecological device (1) comprising a body part (2) having a vacuum chamber (3), a rod unit (4) with a distal end, a proximal end, and a channel (41) extending between the distal end and the proximal end, a cervix head (5) arranged at the distal end of the rod unit (4), and a sealing mechanism (6) configured to switch between an ambient state and a vacuum state. The rod unit (4) extends to the vacuum chamber (3) of the body part (2) such that the proximal end of the rod unit (4) is located in the vacuum chamber (3) of the body part (2). The cervix head (5) is configured to engage a section of a cervix from a vaginal side. When in the ambient state of the sealing mechanism (6), the vacuum chamber (3) of the body part (2) is sealed and the channel (41) of the rod unit (4) is open to an exterior (7) of the gynecological device (1). In the vacuum state of the sealing mechanism (6), the channel (41) of the rod unit (4) is open to the vacuum chamber (3) of the body part (2) and sealed to the exterior (7) of the gynecological device (1).

Intrauterine devices and methods for facilitating deployment thereof using a bumper are disclosed. In one embodiment, an intrauterine device comprises a structure including a first central support member and a deployment mechanism coupled to the first central support member. The intrauterine device further comprises a bumper positioned at a distal end of a second central support member and at a more distal position relative to a distal end of the structure so as to prevent the distal end of the structure from contacting the fundus of the uterus of a patient during deployment of the deployment mechanism. In another embodiment, the intrauterine device comprises a bumper coupled to the deployment mechanism and configured to move from a more distal to a more proximal position relative to a distal end of the structure.
