DEVICE FOR ASSISTING DELIVERY OF AN INFANT DURING CHILDBIRTH
A device for assisting delivery of an infant during childbirth includes a sleeve configured to be positioned over and around the infant's head, an inserter comprising a handle provided at a proximal end of the inserter, flexible arms attached to the handle and configured to engage and position the sleeve over and around the infant's head, a central rod attached to the handle, an inner tube provided around the central rod at a distal end of the inserter such that the inner tube is retracted over the central rod when a force is applied to a soft cone provided at a distal end of the inner tube, the soft cone being configured to be placed on the infant's head to position the device for inserting the sleeve over and around the infant's head, and a reuse prevention feature configured to prevent the inner tube from being retracted a second time.
OBSTETRICAL INSTRUMENT
An obstetrical instrument includes an elongated handle and a fetal head support portion coupled with a distal end of the elongated handle.
Tissue fixation device to grasp, retain and release tissue
Tissue fixation members 18 interact with a housing 12 to hold tissue relative to the housing and allow the orientation and position of the grasped tissue to be manipulated with improved efficacy. The tissue fixation members can be easily and quickly moved between deployed and retracted positions to reversibly grasp and release tissue.

Hand-Held Fetal Head Elevator
A surgical device, and related method to aid in delivery by vaginal or cesarean section delivery to dislodge the fetal head when it has become wedged in the birth canal is provided. The device has a body and a handle for an operator to hold and brace against the mother, and a head plate with an inflatable bladder for gently applying force to the fetal head. The head plate is inserted into the birth canal and the bladder is filled with air or biocompatible fluid. The combination of insertion and inflation gently elevates the fetal head out of the birth canal into the pelvis to facilitate repositioning or extraction of the fetus. The device may have an adjustable neck to accommodate different anatomies and scenarios. The device may have sensors to monitor the health of both the neonate and the mother and to aid in the operation of the device.
Birth delivery device with position sensor
A birth delivery device (10, 30) including one or more engaging elements (18, 32) shaped to engage a fetal head, one or more handles (19, 40) connected to the one or more engaging elements (18, 32) that manipulate the one or more engaging elements (18, 32), and one or more position sensors (20) placed on a portion of at least one of the engaging elements (18, 32) and the handles (19, 40), the position sensors (20) being in communication with a processor (22) that processes data from the position sensors (20) to determine positional information related to the fetal head.

DEVICE FOR TREATING SHOULDER DYSTOCIA
A surgical device for treating shoulder dystocia having a first arm having a proximal portion, a distal portion and a first curved surface, a second arm having a proximal portion, a distal portion and a second curved surface and a shoulder engagement section positioned at least between the distal portion of the first and second arms and connecting the first and second arms. The engagement section has an atraumatic surface and is configured to contact and press down on the baby to reposition the baby upon manipulation of the first and second arms.
FETAL VACUUM EXTRACTOR HAVING COMPACT, VERSATILE CONTROL HANDLE AND RELATED METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE THEREOF
A vacuum extractor for use in childbirth includes a vacuum cup and a handle coupled to the vacuum cup. The handle includes a grip member and a pump member movably mounted on the grip member. The pump member is configured to be manually moved relative to the grip member by a user between a first position and a second position to generate a vacuum within the vacuum cup when the vacuum cup is disposed on the head of a fetus. The grip member includes a first laterally extending member and a second laterally extending member, which are separated from one another in a longitudinal direction. The user can grip either the first laterally extending member or the second laterally extending member while pushing the pump member toward the grip member to move the pump member from the first position to the second position during use of the vacuum extractor.
BIRTHING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a device for assisting childbirth and/or preventing obstructed labour, a method of making the device, and a method of assisting childbirth and/or preventing obstructed labour. The invention also extends to use of a hydrogel to assist childbirth and/or prevent obstructed labour.
