SOLAR CELL
An object of the present invention is to provide a solar cell that is excellent in photoelectric conversion efficiency, suffers little degradation during encapsulation (initial degradation), has high-temperature durability, and is excellent in temperature cycle resistance. The present invention provides a solar cell including: a laminate having an electrode, a counter electrode, and a photoelectric conversion layer disposed between the electrode and the counter electrode; and an encapsulation material covering the counter electrode to encapsulate the laminate, the photoelectric conversion layer including an organic-inorganic perovskite compound represented by the formula: R-M-X.sub.3, R representing an organic molecule, M representing a metal atom, X representing a halogen atom or a chalcogen atom, the encapsulation material including a (meth)acrylic resin having a C atom/O atom ratio of 4 or more in the molecule.
Catalysts and processes for the hydrogenation of amides
There is provided a process for the reduction of one or more amide moieties in a compound comprising contacting the compound with hydrogen gas and a transition metal catalyst in the presence or absence of a base under conditions for the reduction an amide bond. The presently described processes can be performed at low catalyst loading using relatively mild temperature and pressures, and optionally, in the presence or absence of a base or high catalyst loadings using low temperatures and pressures and high loadings of base to effect dynamic kinetic resolution of achiral amides.

PROCESSES USING MOLECULAR SIEVE SSZ-102
Uses are disclosed for a new crystalline molecular sieve designated SSZ-102 synthesized using an N,N′-dimethyl-1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane dication as a structure directing agent. SSZ-102 has ESV framework topology.
Catalysts for chemical reactions in a water-surfactant mixture
The present invention is directed to reaction mixtures comprising a water-surfactant mixture, wherein the catalyst comprises a compound with solubilizing groups. This technology improves the solubility of the reaction components in the water-surfactant mixture and thereby, greatly increases the productivity and selectivity of the chemical reaction.
COMPOUNDS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING HIV WITH DERIVATIVES OF BETULIN

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Compounds of the present invention are useful for the treatment or prevention of HIV.
PRODUCTS OBTAINED BY THE CONVERSION OF GLYCOLALDEHYDE DERIVATIVES AND AMINATING AGENTS AND THEIR CONVERSION TO ETHYLENEAMINES AND ETHANOLAMINES
A process for the manufacture of ethyleneamines and ethanolamines, comprising the steps of (i) converting a glycolaldehyde derivative of formula (II), in which R.sup.2, R.sup.3 are—the same or different—hydrogen, alkyl, such as C.sub.1-6-alkyl, or cycloalkyl such as Cs-e-cycloalkyl; and an animating agent of formula (III); in which R1 is hydrogen (H), alkyl, such as C.sub.1-6-alkyl, or cycloalkyl such as C.sub.3-6-cycloalkyl, in the gas or liquid phase; (ii) feeding the reaction products obtained in step (i) into a hydrogenation reactor, where the reaction products are converted with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst.
