MAGNETIC CORE BONE SCREW
20190021776 · 2019-01-24 ·

A bone screw configured to be screwed into a bone having: an exterior casing; a head having a head interior surface; a tip configured to be driven into the bone; a shaft extending between the head and the tip, the shaft having exterior threads; a magnet; an interior cavity within the bone screw configured to house the magnet; a cap having: a top end having a recess configured to receive a means for driving the bone screw into the bone; and a bottom end having cap threads; the head being configured to receive the cap by having interior threads on the head interior surface; wherein an association of the cap threads with the interior threads causes the cap to be sealed to the head, and thus causes the magnet to be encased within the bone screw with no portion of the magnet exposed outside of the exterior casing.

Spinal implant locking member with improved guidance, tactile and visual feedback

An implant having a receiver that is adapted to receive a polyaxial screw in the bore and either an internal or external cap. The cap can be an external or internal cap and the implant further has at least one locking aid in the form of at least one of a tactile feedback, a visual feedback or an enhanced fixation between the cap and a rod that is received in the receiver.

Bottom-loaded pivotal bone anchor assembly with non-pivoting retainer and deployable insert
10172649 · 2019-01-08 · ·

A polyaxial bone screw assembly includes a threaded shank body having an integral upper portion receivable in an integral receiver, the receiver having an upper channel for receiving a longitudinal connecting member and a lower cavity cooperating with a lower opening. A down-loadable compression insert with tool receiving arm extensions, a down-loadable friction fit split retaining ring and an uploadable shank upper portion cooperate to provide for pop- or snap-on assembly of the shank with the receiver either prior to or after implantation of the shank into a vertebra. The shank and receiver once assembled cannot be disassembled.

Revision joint replacement device and method
10159493 · 2018-12-25 · ·

A device to aid in performing a revision surgery on a joint can comprise: a body member having a bone facing bottom surface, an opposing top surface, a first end portion configured to be disposed on a bone, and a second end portion opposite the first end portion and configured to be disposed on the bone nearer to the joint relative to the first end portion; a connecting member attached to the body member and configured to extend beyond an end of the bone; and a guide member attached to the connecting member and including an opening configured to receive a cutting tool. The device can be sized and shaped based on a computed tomography scan of the bone, and the guide member can be configured so that when the device is installed on the bone, the longitudinal axis of the opening is aligned with a longitudinal direction of the bone.

Bone plate with movable joint

System, including methods and devices, for fixing bone. The system may include a bone plate having two or more plate members connected to one another with one or more movable joints. Each joint may permit the orientation of the plate members to be adjusted relative to one another in a single plane or two or more nonparallel planes. The joint may have a movable configuration and a fixed configuration. Methods of creating the bone plate are also provided.

CLIP-ON REDUCER
20180360504 · 2018-12-20 ·

A clip-on reducer tool assembly for seating a spinal fixation rod in a rod receiving implant, the tool assembly has an outer sleeve. The outer sleeve has a proximal end with a cylindrical portion having a threaded opening, a first leg extension extending therefrom to a distal end, and a second leg extension joined to the first leg extension at an intermediate location between the distal end and proximal end. The second leg extension extends from the distal end toward the proximal end to a lever end spaced from the cylindrical portion. The leg extensions at the distal end have grasping members to engage an outer surface of a rod receiving implant and a fulcrum proximally located near the intermediate location configured to enlarge the space between the leg extension at the distal end as the lever end is depressed inwardly relative to a longitudinal axis of the outer sleeve.

Surgical cutting block including multiple cut guides

Various surgical cutting blocks are presented herein. One surgical cutting block includes a cutting platform including a positioning aperture formed on the cutting platform in which the positioning platform divides the cutting platform into first and second sides and the first side and/or the second side includes multiple single cut guides formed thereon. Another surgical cutting block includes a cutting platform including a positioning aperture formed on the cutting platform in which the positioning platform divides the cutting platform into first and second sides and the first side and/or the second side incudes a double cut guide formed thereon. Yet another surgical cutting block includes a cutting platform including a positioning aperture formed on the cutting platform in which the positioning platform divides the cutting platform into first and second sides and the first side and/or the second side includes a multi-cut guide formed thereon.

LATERAL SPINOUS PROCESS SPACER WITH DEPLOYABLE WINGS

Interspinous process implants are disclosed. Also disclosed are systems and kits including such implants, methods of inserting such implants, and methods of alleviating pain or discomfort associated with the spinal column.

UNIPLANAR BONE ANCHOR ASSEMBLY WITH POP-ON SHANK AND INSERT WITH TOOL DEPLOYMENT
20180325560 · 2018-11-15 · ·

A polyaxial bone screw assembly includes a threaded shank body having an integral upper portion receivable in an integral receiver, the receiver having an upper channel for receiving a longitudinal connecting member and a lower cavity cooperating with a lower opening. A down-loadable compression insert has a lower friction fit collet and an outer receiver press fit surface. A down-loadable retaining ring has at least one inner edge and outer tiered surfaces.
