EROSION RESISTANT COATINGS
An erosion resistant article such as rotor blades for helicopters and wind turbines having the leading edge surface protected from damage from high speed impingement of rain or sand with a protective coating formed from specific polyurethane or polyurea coating having a defined set of minimum physical properties where the protective coating can be applied as a liquid coating and cured in place or as a preformed complementary shaped covering to protect the leading edge against erosion damage in service.
CYCLIC DYNAMIC POLYUREAS FOR POLYMERIC UREA PROCESSING
The present invention relates to a one-component processing method and system for preparing polyurea materials. This method and system involves a polymerization process using cyclic oligomeric polyurea precursors. These cyclic oligomeric precursors have dynamic urea bonds such as hindered urea bonds (HUBs). These cyclic oligomeric precursors exhibit dynamic properties to reversibly dissociate .sub.in situ yielding isocyanate and amine components which polymerize to yield the polyureas, such as linear, branched or cross-linked polyureas. This method and system has advantages over conventional methods that utilize two-component systems. Such two-component systems require the segregation of the isocyanate and amine components to prevent premature or too rapid polymerization. The resulting polyureas are useful for a variety of applications including coatings.
PROCESSABLE, TUNABLE THIO-ENE CROSSLINKED POLYURETHANE SHAPE MEMORY POLYMERS
An embodiment includes a platform shape memory polymer system. Such an embodiment exhibits a blend of tunable, high performance mechanical attributes in combination with advanced processing capabilities and good biocompatibility. A post-polymerization crosslinking synthetic approach is employed that combines polyurethane and thiol-ene synthetic processes. Other embodiments are described herein.
Color protectant compositions
Provided herein are color protectant compositions for dyed human hair, and methods for determining the same.
Aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion
An aqueous polyurethane resin having a cationic group in a side chain thereof is obtainable by reacting a polyester polyol, a polyisocyanate, and a diol containing a quaternary N-atom or amino group, the quaternary N-atom or amino group being not present in the carbon chain between the two hydroxyl groups of the diol. The polyester polyol is obtained by reacting an aromatic polycarboxylic acid and a polyol. The polyurethane resin is suitable as a resin in treatment liquids for inkjet printing.
MIXTURES CONTAINING 1.1.1.4.4.4.- HEXAFLUOROBUTENE AND 1-CHLORO-3.3.3-TRIFLUOROPROPENE
The present invention relates to mixtures of 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluorobutene (1336mzzm) and 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (1233zd). The blends are useful as blowing agents for polymer foam, solvents, aerosol propellants and heat transfer media.
BIOCOMPATIBLE ADHESIVES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
