An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having excellent abrasion resistance and spin performance on driver shots. The present invention provides a golf ball having a spherical core and a cover covering the spherical core, wherein the cover contains a polyurethane, wherein the polyurethane comprises, as a constituent component, (A) a polyisocyanate component and (B) a polyol component containing (b1) a polyrotaxane, and wherein (b1) the polyrotaxane has a cyclodextrin, a linear molecule piercing through the cyclic structure of the cyclodextrin, and a blocking group located at both terminals of the linear molecule to prevent disassociation of the cyclodextrin, and at least a part of hydroxyl groups of the cyclodextrin is modified with a caprolactone chain via —O—C.sub.3H.sub.6—O— group.
PIPA polyol based viscoelastic foams
Viscoelastic foam is made by reacting an isocyanate compound with water and a polyol mixture. The polyol mixture contains a dispersion of polyurethane or polyurethane-urea particles in a carrier polyol (a PIPA polyol) and at least one other polyol that is a homopolymer of propylene oxide or a copolymer of 20 to 99.9 weight-% propylene oxide and 0.1 to 80 weight-% ethylene oxide, has 2 to 4 hydroxyl groups per molecule and has a hydroxyl equivalent weight of 200 to 400. The VE foams are characterized by high airflows and long recovery times.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE
A polyurethane, in particular a thermoplastic polyurethane, is obtainable or obtained by reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition and a polyol composition. The polyol composition contains at least one polyester diol or polyether diol, having a number-average molecular weight in the range from 500 to 3000 g/mol, and at least one polysiloxane having two terminal isocyanate-reactive functionalities selected from a thio group, a hydroxyl group, and an amino group. A process can be used for preparing this polyurethane, and a molded body containing the polyurethane is useful. Foam beads based on polyurethane can be obtained or obtainable from the polyurethane, and a process can be used for producing foam beads. Corresponding bead foams are useful.

Compositions with enhanced flexibility
Compositions are provided which comprises an active hydrogen-containing resin, a flexibilizer and at least one curing agent. The cured compositions possess enhanced flexibility while maintaining hardness, and are highly suitable for applications such as coatings, adhesives, sealants, gaskets, industrial rubber goods, and the like.
POLYURETHANE UREA WATER DISPERSION, MATTE COATING MATERIAL, AND SURFACE TREATMENT AGENT
The present invention relates to a polyurethane urea water dispersion that is a reaction product of a polyol component containing a polymer polyol (A), a polysiloxane compound (S) having at least one active hydrogen-containing group, a compound (B) having at least one active hydrogen and a hydrophilic group in a molecule thereof, and a dihydric alcohol (C); a polyisocyanate (D); and a polyamine (E) having two primary amino groups and at least one secondary amino group, wherein the polyurethane urea water dispersion has an acid value of 1 to 16 mgKOH/g as expressed in terms of a solid component.
URETHANE RESIN COMPOSITION AND BUILDING INSULATION METHOD
A urethane resin composition having properties suitable for forming a building insulation layer without adding a foam stabilizer in a urethane resin composition having at least quasi-incombustibility. A urethane resin composition for forming a foam that constitutes a insulation material for a building includes a foam having at least quasi-incombustibility in a heat-release test complying with ISO-5660, the urethane resin composition containing at least a polyisocyanate compound, an ester polyol compound, a trimerization catalyst, an additive, and a non-silicon surface adjuster, and by not containing a foam stabilizer, the additive including red phosphorus as an essential component and being combined with a phosphate-containing flame retardant and/or a chlorine-containing flame retardant.
MOISTURE-SENSED SHRINKING INK
A moisture-sensed shrinking ink applied to a digital printing process for fabric has a viscosity between 2.5 cP and 10.0 cP and a surface tension between 22 dyne/cm and 32 dyne/cm, in which the moisture-sensed shrinking ink includes 15 parts by weight to 35 parts by weight of a moisture-sensed shrinking resin and 65 parts by weight to 85 parts by weight of water.
Thermally stable glucose limiting membrane for glucose sensors
Embodiments of the invention provide compositions useful in analyte sensors as well as methods for making and using such compositions and sensors. In typical embodiments of the invention, the sensor is a glucose sensor comprising an analyte modulating membrane formed from a polymeric reaction mixture formed to include limiting amounts of catalyst and/or polycarbonate compounds so as to provide such membranes with improved material properties such as enhanced thermal and hydrolytic stability.
