Laparoscopic visualization system
A Laparoscopic Visualization System comprising a sterile, self-contained, disposable apparatus used in medical procedures for heating and applying an anti-fog solution to the distal end of laparoscopes or surgical devices is presented. It additionally serves as an endoscopic lens protector and cleaner. An efficient heating and narrow range temperature control mechanism is used in combination with an anti-fog solution to provide clear visualization through a distal lens of the surgical device inserted into the system. The configuration prevents the anti-fog solution from spilling out of the system and is designed to also be used as a holder for the surgical scope, protecting the distal lens from impact with a shock absorbent outer shell, prior to, during, and after a medical procedure.
Medical device warmer
The medical device warmer is adapted for use with endoscopes. Specifically, the medical device warmer is a mechanical apparatus that is adapted to store and warm an endoscope during an endoscopic procedure. The medical device warmer is provisioned as a support kit. The support kit contains the medical device warmer as well as associated equipment and materials required for an endoscopic procedure. During an endoscopic procedure the support kit is clipped with a plurality of clips to the surgical draping used in the procedure to allow medical personnel ready access to the equipment. The medical device warmer comprises a warming cylinder, a cap and a support kit.
DISPOSABLE CONTAINER FOR MOBILE MEDICAL CART
A medical cart having a chassis with a plurality of wheels attached thereto; a plurality of drawers supported on the chassis; a temperature-regulated compartment in the chassis; a locking bar pivotally attached to the chassis; a headwall mount attached to the chassis; a display mounted on the chassis; and a positionable task light attached to the chassis. Each drawer includes a drawer lock shiftable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking bar is shiftable between a locked position and an unlocked position so that the locking bar serves as a secondary safety lock for all the drawers and the door of the temperature-regulated compartment.
Methods and Devices for Controlling Biologic Microenvironments
A microenvironment of a biological body is controlled, and more particularly, is measured, changed, and monitored with respect to temperature, pH level, moisture and other tissue parameters of a region of the body while, optionally, administering a therapeutic agent to that region.
Endoscope defogging and pre-heating device
An endoscope defogging and pre-heating device includes a bag including a first seal line and first and second chambers defined at an opposite lateral sides relative to the first seal line, a heat storage/release material flowing between the first chamber and the second chamber for storing/releasing heat energy, a fixation device for securing the bag in a folded status to hold the endoscope to be pre-heated between the first and second chambers, and an actuator bendable to generate oscillation waves for causing the heat storage/release material to produce a temperature rise and then to release heat for pre-heating the loaded endoscope to about 98 F.138 F.
THERMAL SYSTEM
A thermal system includes a thermal control unit adapted to supply temperature controlled fluid to one or more thermal pads. The thermal pads may include an interior chamber for fluid circulation, an inlet and an outlet, and first and second temperature sensors positioned adjacent the inlet and outlet, respectively. Some pads include a valve adapted to control an amount of fluid flowing through one or more channels within the pad. The thermal control unit may include a controller that controls the fluid temperature based upon temperature readings from first and second temperature sensors positioned remotely from the thermal control unit. The thermal control unit may also include a valve that selectively controls the amount of fluid exiting the thermal control from one or more outlets based upon one or more temperature readings. The system may include one or more thermocouples with conductors placed on or in the thermal pads.
