A teleoperational medical system for performing a medical procedure in a surgical field includes a dynamic guided setup system having step-by-step setup instructions for setting up a teleoperational assembly having at least one motorized surgical arm configured to assist in a surgical procedure. It also includes a user interface configured to communicate the step-by-step setup instructions to a user. The dynamic guided setup system is configured to automatically recognize completion of a first setup step based on detected physical arrangement of at least one surgical arm on a teleoperational assembly and automatically display a prompt for a subsequent setup step after the recognizing completion of the first setup step.
CONFIGURATION TECHNIQUES FOR AN APPLIANCE WITH CHANGEABLE COMPONENTS
The present disclosure relates to a workstation and a technique to automatically configure the workstation. The workstation can be used to perform various tasks including but not limited to medication delivery, collection of medical records, patient care, manufacturing operations, and others. The workstation can be configured by the user depending on the tasks to be performed using the workstation. Various sensors (e.g., hall effect sensors, optical sensors, or the like) can be coupled to the workstation, and sensor operators (e.g., magnets, color coded strips, or the like) can be coupled to the modules. By aligning sensor operators with sensors when modules are coupled to the workstation, a configuration (e.g., size, shape, location, or the like) of modules can be automatically detected by the workstation controller. The controller of the workstation can then adapt to perform certain tasks (e.g., lock/unlock drawers, or the like) depending on the detected configuration of modules.
Method and apparatus for loading a floor loading sterilizer
A method and apparatus for sterilizing is provided, wherein an item to be sterilized is loaded into a sterilizing cabinet integrated with a sterilizable wheeled case cart, the sterilizing cabinet comprising an interior, the interior being sterilizable; the sterilizable wheeled cart and the affixed sterilizing cabinet is rolled into the floor loading sterilizer; the sterilizable wheeled case cart and the integrated sterilizing cabinet in the floor loading sterilizer is exposed to a sterilizing cycle; and the integrated sterilizable wheeled case cart and sterilizing cabinet are rolled from the floor loading sterilizer, without requiring vertical translation of the sterilizing cabinet relative to the ground or the case cart.

The present invention relates to a device for suspending one or more medical instruments, such as a drying cabinet for endoscopes, comprising a closable space, a plurality of holders positioned in the closable space provided with at least one retaining elements and a control system comprising an identification system configured for identifying the holders, wherein the at least one retaining element of each holder is provided with at least one identification means connected to the identification system, wherein the identification means is configured to identify the retaining element of the respective holder. The present invention further relates to a holding system for suspending one or more medical instruments in a closable space adapted therefore, such as a drying cabinet for endoscopes, comprising a holder and at least one retaining element, wherein the holding system further comprises a spacer connected to the holder and provided with a hinge system, wherein the at least one retaining element is configured to clampingly receiving the at least one medical instrument to be suspended.
Backlit surgical instrument support assembly
The subject invention provides a surgical instrument support assembly which includes an enclosure defining an opening; a light transmissive pane located at least partially across the opening and defining a support surface; and, a light source located inside the enclosure for generating light to be transmitted through the light transmissive pane. A sterilizable light transmissive surgical instrument support may be also provided to be disposed over at least a portion of the light transmissive pane. Advantageously, with the subject invention, an assembly is provided which includes a sterilized surface for supporting surgical instruments which is backlit. With this arrangement, surgical instruments may be supported and illuminated from beneath to aid a medical practitioner in identifying the surgical instruments.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOADING A FLOOR LOADING STERILIZER
A method of sterilizing comprises loading an item to be sterilized into an integrated sterilizing cabinet and sterilizable wheeled case cart, the sterilizing cabinet comprising an interior, the interior being sterilizable, rolling the integrated sterilizable wheeled case cart and sterilizing cabinet into the floor loading sterilizer, wherein rolling the integrated sterilizable wheeled case cart and sterilizing cabinet into the floor loading sterilizer is independent of a height adjustment of the sterilizing cabinet relative to the sterilizable wheeled case cart, exposing the integrated sterilizable wheeled case cart and sterilizing cabinet in the floor loading sterilizer to a sterilizing cycle, and rolling the integrated sterilizable wheeled case cart and sterilizing cabinet from the floor loading sterilizer.

A medical supply cabinet includes a housing; a medical supply cabinet identifying machine readable code located on the housing; and a plurality of medical supply packages, each medical supply package containing a specific medical supply. Each medical supply package includes a discarded portion created when the medical supply package is opened. The discarded portion of the medical supply package includes a medical supply package machine readable code identifying the specific medical supply associated with the medical supply package.
