MODULAR MEDICAL ARTICLE STORAGE CONTAINER WITH TORTUOUS PATH SEAL
A modular system of plastic walls having embedded and coextensive electrically conductive components configured to electrically connect with each other when the walls are mated. The walls have joining edges that form joint seams with other walls when joined together to create an enclosure. When enough walls are used to surround a storage space, a Faraday cage is created. The walls additionally have portions of tortuous paths at each joining edge that mate with a complementary portion of a tortuous path of another wall when the walls are joined together. A torturous path seal is thereby created at each joint seam. The plastic walls can be configured in a multiplicity of combinations to create various enclosures necessary for RFID-enabled storage and tracking of medical articles. Containers, enclosures, cabinets, and drawers of differing heights and sizes can be made and they may be stacked or otherwise assembled.
Manifold including a data carrier for a medical/surgical waste collection assembly
A manifold for a medical/surgical waste collection assembly. The manifold includes a housing shaped to be removably received within a manifold receiver of the medical/surgical waste collection assembly. An inlet fitting is coupled to the housing and adapted to be coupled with a suction line. An outlet opening is in fluid communication with the inlet fitting to define a fluid communication path from the suction line to the outlet opening and through a filter. The manifold includes a data carrier storing data useable to regulate operation of the medical/surgical waste collection assembly. The data carrier may include a radiofrequency identification tag having memory storing data suitable for determining whether the manifold is usable with the medical/surgical waste collection assembly. The RFID tag is adapted to be in electronic communication with a data reader when the manifold is coupled with the manifold receiver for communicating the data from the manifold.
ARRANGEMENT FOR CLEANING AND DISINFECTION OF ENDOSCOPES
An arrangement, and associated method, for cleaning and disinfecting an endoscope having an internal channel accessible via an opening. The arrangement includes: a support structure; at least one tray including at least one fixture arranged to maintain the endoscope in the desired position within the tray; a rack arranged to support the tray; a control unit arranged to control and operate the arrangement; a user interface connected to the control unit and arranged to make it possible for an operator to indicate the type of endoscope arranged in the tray; an optical device connected to the control unit and configured to confirm the type of endoscope arranged in the tray; a robotic device operated by the control unit and arranged to clean the at least one channel in the endoscope arranged in the tray; and a disinfector device arranged to enclose the tray and disinfect the endoscope.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ASSEMBLING SETS OF MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS AND/OR PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS
A method and system for assembling sets of medical instruments and/or pharmaceutical products. The system includes a control system comprising or being connected to a database comprising data objects corresponding to available objects. An input area is provided to receive batches of unsorted medical instruments or pharmaceutical product containers, and an identification area having an identification unit. A temporary sorting area is also provided, including a plurality of storage positions provided with visual indications capable of visually indicating one of the storage position at a time, and an output area, possibly being overlapping with the input area, arranged to receive medical instruments and/or pharmaceutical products as assembled sets. The controller is arranged to receive information from the identification unit obtained when an item is arranged on the identification area, and to identify the item in the database.
Medical article storage container having RF shield and tortuous path seal

The walls have joining edges that form joint seams with other walls when joined together to create an enclosure. When enough walls are used to surround a storage space, a Faraday cage is created. The walls additionally have portions of tortuous paths at each joining edge that mate with a complementary portion of a tortuous path of another wall when the walls are joined together. Process and apparatus for managing medical device selection and implantation
A method of selecting an instrument set for an orthopedic implant procedure. The method utilizes a computer programmed with a data structure configured to store (i) a set of implant components and implant instruments; and (ii) a set of surgical instruments utilized in performing the procedure. The method selects a sub-set of implant components and implant instruments based upon a determination of component types and then selects a sub-set of surgical instruments based upon a determination of surgical techniques. The method arranges the sub-set of surgical instruments and implant instruments into a substantially specific order based upon a determination of a sequence of bone cuts to be performed in the procedure.

Mobile Selection System And Treatment Carriage
The invention relates to a mobile selection system for selecting medical accessories comprising a control system, a user interface and a treatment cart. The treatment cart comprises a plurality of storage devices each having at least two storage areas for a respective accessory type. The control system thereby implements a selection method having the following method steps. The treatment identifier of the treatment to be performed is determined in one method step via the user interface. In a further method step, a plurality of accessory set parameters which characterize a medical accessory set are determined on the basis of an accessory database and on the basis of the treatment identifier of the treatment to be performed. The treatment cart comprises a release mechanism, wherein the control system is designed to control the release mechanism so as to release those medical accessories for which at least one of the storage devices comprises storage area for their accessory types and which are characterized by the accessory set parameters on which the control is based.
