MEDICAL DEVICE CONTAINMENT AND TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A system for containing and transporting a medical device may include a container including a bottom face and surrounding side faces as a closed first end and an open second end to form an inner portion for receiving and retaining the medical device. At least a portion of one or more of the side faces may have an indentation extending along a length of the respective side face. A liner and cover may be removably enclosable about the container. The liner may be extendable over the side faces to line the inner portion of the container to an outer surface of the bottom face of the container. The cover may enclose the medical device in the container between the liner and cover. The indentation may be formed into the inner portion of the container. The container may be compatibly receivable in a first transportation device in a first orientation.
Medical kit and dispenser for medical kits
Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing a medical kit, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for implementing a medical kit for cleaning endoscopes. In some aspects, a medical kit may comprise an outer bag capable of being vacuum sealed, at least one inner bag contained within the outer bag, at least one solution container comprising a solution contained within the outer bag, at least one absorbent pad contained within the outer bag, and/or the like. The air from the outer bag may be evacuated to form a vacuum seal surrounding the at least one inner bag, the at least one solution container, and the at least one absorbent pad. In an additional aspect, the medical kit may comprise an absorbent pad and solution contained within a bag capable of being vacuum sealed. In yet another aspect, a dispenser may be implemented to dispense medical kits.

Sterilization tray fastener and related methods
Sterilization tray fasteners are disclosed herein. The disclosed sterilization tray fasteners may be formed to join sterilization tray bases stacked directly on top of one another together. In some embodiments, sterilization tray bases may be formed to have slots or apertures to accommodate features of the disclosed fasteners. For example, in some embodiments, the disclosed sterilization tray fasteners include an elongate body and two curved arms that can extend into apertures of the sterilization tray bases. In many embodiments, the disclosed fasteners can be attached to and detached from sterilization tray bases without tools.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT WITH CHARGING STATION AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
An apparatus comprises an electrically power surgical instrument having a handle assembly. The apparatus also comprises a communication device positioned within the handle assembly. The communication device is operable to communicate with at least a portion of the electrically powered surgical instrument. The apparatus further comprises an external device in wireless communication with the communication device. The external device is operable to receive information from the communication device and the external device is operable to provide an output viewable to the user.

Tissue-processing container for automated processing of tissue, methods of use thereof, and systems comprising the same
Tissue-processing containers are disclosed for facilitating multistep processing of tissue. Also disclosed are systems incorporating the tissue-processing containers that include shakers, incubators, controllers, and pumps. Multistep methods are disclosed for processing tissues using the tissue-processing containers. The tissue-processing containers are specially designed to achieve efficiencies in automated tissue processing, exposure of tissues to processing media, and multistep tissue processing protocols. The described tissue-processing containers comprise a cup-like cavity comprising a middle hole covered by a mesh screen, troughs for separate processing steps, and are stackable in a substantially airtight and substantially watertight manner. Tissues for processing using the described tissue-processing containers include nerve tissue. Also described herein is a transport housing for the transport of stacks of tissue-processing containers, and which may directly incubate those containers, or which may be placed inside a separate incubator for incubating the containers.
Surgical instrument with slip ring assembly to power ultrasonic transducer
A surgical instrument includes a rotatable electrical coupling assembly having a first part and a second part that electrically couple and rotate relative to each other. The second part is carried by and rotates with a tube collar coupled to a transducer. A portion of the transducer is inserted through an aperture of the second part, but does not contact the second part. The first part of the assembly may electrically couple to the second part via pogo pins, brush contacts, or ball bearings. Alternatively, the first part may comprise conductive channels formed in the casing. The second part may comprise a rotatable drum with a conductive trace. In some versions, one or more components may comprise MID components. In another version, the rotatable electrical coupling assembly comprises a rotatable PC board and brush contact. Further still, a circuit board may be provided with the transducer inside a transducer casing.
Packaged medical device
To provide a packaged medical device in which a medical device in a container is stably fixed and which can be easily opened. Specifically, provided is a packaged medical device comprising a container having an opening portion and a flange portion formed to extend outward in a peripheral portion of the opening portion, a medical device housed inside the container, and a lid member having a gas impermeable film and peelably heat-sealed to the flange portion, in which the inside of the container is set to a negative pressure to the atmospheric pressure so that the medical device is pressed by the lid member and the peel strength to the flange portion of the lid member is 2 to 50 N/in.
