Catheter tray, packaging system, instruction insert, and associated methods
A tray (100) for accommodating a coiled medical device, such as a catheter assembly (700), includes a first compartment (101), a second compartment (102), and a third compartment (103). The catheter assembly (700) and devices associated with a catheterization procedure, such as syringes (701,702) containing sterile water and lubricating jelly and a specimen container (703) can be disposed within the tray. Printed instructions (1001) can be included with the tray (100). One or more layers of wrap material (2200) can be folded about the tray (100) to enclose the tray (100) and other items, such as an additional layer of wrap material (2701), packaged liquid hand sanitizer (2401), and packaged gloves (2402). When a health care services provider (3101) unfolds the wrap material, the same can be used to create a sterile field beneath a patient (3201).
System and method for packaging and preparing a radiofrequency ablation kit
A system for packaging a kit for a radiofrequency ablation procedure protects a radiofrequency ablation kit without compromising its sterile barrier system through the hazards of handling, distribution, and storage. The system includes: an introducer tray configured to hold at least one introducer; a probe tray configured to hold at least one radiofrequency ablation probe; an outer carrier tray, a pouch configured to hold a tubing kit; and a dispenser carton. The introducer tray and the probe tray are held within the outer carrier tray, and the outer carrier tray and the pouch are configured to be held within the dispenser carton. A method of packaging a radiofrequency ablation kit is further described.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
In one aspect of the present disclosure, a sterilization mat is provided that is configured to receive non-sterile surgical instruments, rolled to a rolled configuration, and sterilized while in the rolled configuration. In accordance with another aspect of the present disclosure, a specialized surgical supply kit includes a package that retains surgical supplies having at least one surgical supply identified as a preferred surgical supply by the hospital or surgeon that is to perform the surgery. The surgical supplies are further arranged in a spatial arrangement based on the surgeon who is to perform the surgery.
Medical tool kit
A medical tool kit is provided for packaging, storing, and transporting medical instruments and tools of various types. The medical tool kit is capable of providing continuing sterilization to the medical instruments and toots kept inside the medical toot kit after the tool case is opened during its normal use in a medical procedure. The medical tool kit is further capable of emitting a GPS tracking signal to identify the location of an opened medical tool kit during an emergency as well as creating hands free communication between the user of the medical tool kit and local emergency institutions.
MEDICAL DEVICE PACKAGING WITH POWER SOURCE
A system for charging an onboard battery of a medical device prior to use of the medical device may include a package configured to accommodate the medical device therein. A power source may be disposed relative to the package and may be capable of charging the onboard battery of the medical device prior to use of the medical device. The system may be capable of being subjected to a sterilization process with the power source disposed within the second cavity. In some instances, the power source is uncharged during sterilization. In some cases, the power source is encapsulated or otherwise sealed during sterilization.
PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR ANALYZING AN ANALYTE
Some embodiments are directed to a portable electronic device for analyzing an analyte. The portable electronic device includes a housing, an adapter detachably coupled to the housing and a processor disposed in the housing. The adapter includes a body defining an opening for receiving a test strip and an interface port disposed within the body. The interface port is configured to read a signal from the test strip. The processor is communicably coupled to the interface port. The processor is configured to determine at least one parameter of the analyte based on the signal received from the interface port.
PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR STERILE TRANSFER OF NON-STERILE BATTERY
A medical device packaging system for securing a sterile medical device, having controlled sterile and non-sterile zones, and features for controlling and maintaining said zones that allow medical personnel to perform a simple and efficient transfer of a non-sterile battery into a sterile powered medical device without compromising the device sterility in a sterile field.
TEE PROBE CONTAINER
The present invention is directed to a TEE Probe container configured for receiving a TEE Probe, the container comprising a first container surface and an opposing second container surface. In some instances, the container further comprises one or more depressions positioned on the first surface configured for receiving the TEE probe. The TEE probe container further comprises a planar lid configured to removably enclose the first container surface of the container.
Medical waste containment device
A device that stores, secures, and disinfects hazardous materials introduced therein, comprising a container having at least one interior surface, wherein the at least one interior surface forms at least one chamber within the container for storing the hazardous materials introduced into the container; at least one port having an aperture and unidirectional access for introducing the hazardous materials into the container and preventing outflow of the hazardous materials from the container; an absorbent material for securing the hazardous materials introduced into the container, wherein the absorbent material is affixed to the at least one interior surface of the container; and a disinfecting substance for disinfecting the hazardous materials introduced into the container, wherein the disinfecting substance is affixed to the at least one first interior surface of the container.
PART OF ITEM CONTAINER FOR MEDICAL DEVICE, ITEM CONTAINER FOR MEDICAL DEVICE, MEDICAL DEVICE STORAGE PACK, AND ITEM FOR MEDICAL DEVICE
