Surgical instrument trays and related methods are described. The surgical instrument tray includes a tray having a plurality of side walls and a base which define an interior space. An insert is located within the interior space of the tray and is removable from the interior space. A lid is provided for closing the interior space and which is removable from the tray. The insert has an upper surface including a plurality of outlines, each outline having the shape of the outline of a corresponding surgical instrument or part of a surgical instrument, each outline being in the form of a continuous strip, and wherein each outline has at least one support arranged to receive and releasably hold the corresponding surgical instrument or part of the surgical instrument above and in registration with the outline.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STERILIZATION AND STORAGE OF A STERILIZED TELEOPERATED COMPONENT
A system is provided including a reclosable storage container comprising an interior sterile environment. The system also includes a sterile teleoperated component of a teleoperated surgical manipulator assembly in the interior sterile environment. A communications interface enables communication between a device outside the storage container and the component inside the storage container. A viewing window allows the stored component to be seen through the storage container. Multiple storage containers can be moved and stored. In an operating room, the storage container is opened, and the component is removed and assembled into the teleoperated surgical assembly.
NO TOUCH STERILE MEDICAL DEVICE PACKAGING
A packaging assembly may retain a sterile medical device for use in a surgical setting, such as an orthopedic implant or instrument. The packaging assembly may have a first packaging component and a second packaging component. The first packaging component and the second packaging component may be attachable to each other to define a first interior space containing the medical device. The first packaging component may have a first retention feature that defines a first interior receptacle shaped to receive at least part of the medical device such that a user can manually grip the medical device through the first retention feature. The first first interior space may be manually opened by a user grasping the medical device through the first retention feature.
SHEET METAL HANDLE, AND COVER WITH SHEET METAL HANDLE
A handle, preferably for a lid of a medical sieve basket, and a method of forming a handle. The handle includes a base body having a handle bar and at least one holding portion adjoining the handle bar, and at least one eyelet-shaped or bent fixing lug arranged at an end of the holding portion opposite the handle bar for pivotal mounting of the handle. The base body is formed of a planar sheet metal that includes at least one lug-like projection at the end of the holding portion opposite the handle bar. The projection is bent to form the fixing lug. The handle can be pivotally secured to a lid.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT TRAY
Surgical instrument trays and related methods are described. The surgical instrument tray is for a surgical instrument having a plurality of parts from which the surgical instrument is assembled. The surgical tray comprises a tray having a plurality of side walls and a base which define an interior space; a lid for closing the interior space and which is removable from the tray; and a plurality of outlines located within the interior space. Each outline has the shape of a corresponding different part of the surgical instrument and each outline has at least one support arranged to receive and releasably hold the respective different parts of the surgical instrument above and in registration with the outline. The plurality of outlines are configured to indicate that the different parts of the surgical instrument are assembled to form the surgical instrument and/or that the surgical instrument is disassembled into the different parts.
Adaptable medical tray
Adaptable medical trays are disclosed herein. An adaptable medical tray includes a first component medical tray having a plurality of walls, a bottom, and a removable top, the plurality of walls and the bottom arranged to form a cavity in the first component medical tray; and a second component medical tray removably coupled to the first component medical tray, the second component medical tray including a plurality of walls, a bottom, and a removable top, the plurality of walls and the bottom arranged to form a cavity in the second component medical tray. The first component medical tray and the second component medical tray are constructed of a sterilizable material and the first component medical tray is decouplable from the second component medical tray after a sterilization process without removing the removable tops from the cavities.
Systems and Methods for Maintaining a Supply of a Health-Related Item
System and methods for maintaining a supply of health-related items are provided herein. The system includes, but is not limited to, a carrier configured to contain the health-related item. The system further includes, but is not limited to, a container having a compartment configured to store the carrier. The system includes, but is not limited to, an item presence sensor coupled to the container. The system includes, but is not limited to, a sensor tag coupled to carrier and configured to be communicatively coupled with the item presence sensor. The system includes, but is not limited to, one or more data processors configured to be communicatively coupled with the item presence sensor and configured to determine whether the health-related item is present within the container based upon proximity of the sensor tag to the item presence sensor.
Medical device dispenser and method of use
Medical device dispensers along with related systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments dispenses within the scope of this disclosure may be configured to couple another structure such as an IV pole. Additionally, dispensers within the scope of this disclosure may be configured with locking or otherwise tamper resistant elements.
MEDICAL WASTE CONTAINER TRANSPORT DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A transport device to removably receive a medical waste container for transport of the medical waste container includes a body having a base wall with at least one opening for receiving a medical waste container. A portion of the base wall defining the at least one opening is configured to engage and completely surround an exterior of the medical waste container. The body further includes a side wall extending from the base wall, the base wall and side wall together defining a cavity. A cover is movably coupled to the side wall and is movable between a closed position, in which the cover cooperates with the side wall to close a top of the cavity, and an open position, in which the cavity is open at the top.
