A combined protective container and delivery device for an orthopedic implant device is provided. The combined protective container and delivery device includes an orthopedic implant device configured for insertion into a surgical site and a support configured to receive the orthopedic implant device. A base is configured to receive the orthopedic implant device and the support. A cover is configured to form a sealed container to prevent the ingress of contaminants to the orthopedic implant device and the support. The sealed container is configured for removal and insertion of the orthopedic implant device without manual handling of the orthopedic implant device

A system and method for forming a sterile dental pack is disclosed. The method includes preparing a first wrap and a second wrap; arranging a plurality of dental disposable supplies on the first wrap; and wrapping the plurality of dental disposable supplies within the first wrap and the second wrap to form an airtight container. Also disclosed is a sterile dental pack dispensing system. The sterile dental pack dispensing system may include a storage container with an opening, the storage container being configured to store a wrapped sterile dental pack; an output configured to receive the wrapped sterile dental pack from the storage container; and a fiber optic indicator configured to cause the wrapped sterile dental pack to move from the storage container to the output through the opening.

A sharps container for safe storage of used pen needles, pen needle assemblies, syringe needles, syringe needle covers, and combinations thereof having a substantially non-porous housing which includes a receiver which receives and actively conveys external pen needles, pen needle assemblies, syringe needles, syringe needle covers, and combinations thereof into the interior of the housing; an internal storage compartment sized to facilitate the safe storage of a plurality of used pen needles or syringe needles and optional needle covers. The internal storage compartment including a material capable of absorbing and storing fluids which may incidentally be associated with the used pen needles or syringe needles. The receiver for pen needles, pen needle assemblies, syringe needles, syringe needle covers, and combinations thereof is visually distinguished from the surrounding portions of the housing by one or both of having a different color or different color patterning relative to the surrounding housing.

A packaging apparatus for administering a swallowable cell collection device to a patient, comprising: a swallowable cell collection device comprising a retrieval thread tethered to a swallowable capsule at a distal end of the thread, with a first portion of the retrieval thread packaged in a bundled state together with the swallowable capsule; and, an applicator device tethered to a proximal end of the retrieval thread and configured to releasably stow the cell collection device and bundled portion of the retrieval thread for direct administration to the patient within the mouth of the patient by partial insertion of the applicator device into the mouth.

A system and related methods of preventing wrong-site surgeries and blade-related injuries to OR personnel, which includes a computer software system (for use on computers or hand-held devices in the medical environment) in combination with a surgical supply carrier (such as a safety blade-dispenser or other surgical sharps dispenser). The surgical supply carrier comprises at least one component, such as a label, which prevents or impedes a surgeon from accessing one or more surgical instruments stored within until after a time-out is performed by the surgeon or authorized OR personnel to confirm various details including but not limited to correct patient, correct procedure, correct equipment, etc, before starting the intended surgical procedure. Data can be captured throughout the medical environment (from decision-to-incision and beyond) to assess wrong-site surgery data (including near miss data) and enable a host of analytics on wrong-site surgery prevention.

A system and method for forming a sterile dental pack is disclosed. The method includes preparing a first wrap and a second wrap; arranging a plurality of dental disposable supplies on the first wrap; and wrapping the plurality of dental disposable supplies within the first wrap and the second wrap to form an airtight container. Also disclosed is a sterile dental pack dispensing system. The sterile dental pack dispensing system may include a storage container with an opening, the storage container being configured to store a wrapped sterile dental pack; an output configured to receive the wrapped sterile dental pack from the storage container; and a fiber optic indicator configured to cause the wrapped sterile dental pack to move from the storage container to the output through the opening.

The present invention describes a tourniquet carrier assembly that includes a case comprising a base portion, a lid portion, at least one aperture in the case, and at least one groove operable to receive at least one corresponding tab, a tourniquet, and a band configured to receive the case and bound the lid portion to the base portion. Without the carrier strap, the base portion is configured to engage but not attach to the lid portion when each groove receives each corresponding tab, and the tab and groove connections are operable to prevent lateral displacement but allow vertical displacement of the lid portion from the base portion.
