Medical container packaging

A packaging for medical containers includes a tub having a bottom wall with at least one aperture through the bottom wall, and peripheral sidewalls extending from a periphery of the bottom wall. The peripheral sidewalls include a peripheral flange along top edges of the peripheral sidewalls, and the peripheral sidewalls form an opening at a top of the tub opposite to the bottom wall. The packaging includes an insert of porous material connected to the tub a disposed over the at least one aperture through the bottom wall, a nest to support a plurality of medical containers, and a sealing layer connected to the peripheral flange to seal the opening at the top of the tub.

Reclamation packaging for surgical instrument and related methods

A surgical kit includes a surgical instrument, a packaging, and a return packaging. The packaging defines an interior and an exterior in a closed configuration. The surgical instrument is disposed within the interior of the packaging or coupled with the packaging in the closed configuration. The packaging is configured to transition to an open configuration by a user to expose the interior and allow for access of the surgical instrument during a surgical procedure. The return packaging is configured to receive at least a portion of the surgical instrument after the surgical procedure for reduced cross-contamination. The return packaging is at least one of coupled with the packaging or disposed within the interior in the closed configuration.

MECHANICALLY SEALED HOUSINGS FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES

An enclosure for an electronic device, such as a wearable physiological monitor, may be formed of at least two different materials, e.g., a first part formed of a first material (e.g., a metal) and a second part formed of a second material (e.g., a plastic). The second part may include an opening to receive at least a portion of the first part therein, where the first part includes an anchor projecting from a surface thereof into the opening of the second part. To ensure that the enclosure is waterproof, a third part that can be chemically bonded to the second part may secure the first part by filling a volume between the anchor of the first part and an adjacent surface of the second part around the opening. In some aspects, the chemical bond between the second part and the third part creates an environmental seal around the opening.

METHOD FOR AUTHENTICATING THE COMPATIBILITY OF A STAPLE CARTRIDGE WITH A SURGICAL INSTRUMENT

A method for authenticating the compatibility of a staple cartridge with a surgical instrument is disclosed. The method can comprise inserting a staple cartridge into a surgical instrument, receiving a first signal from a first RFID tag on a first component of the staple cartridge with an RFID reader system, receiving a second signal from a second RFID tag on a second component of the staple cartridge with the RFID reader system, comparing the first signal and the second signal to stored data for a compatible staple cartridge, and locking a staple firing system of the surgical instrument if the first signal and the second signal do not match the stored data for a compatible staple cartridge.

Modular automated physical health testing systems and associated devices and methods

Automated modular physical health testing systems and associated devices and methods are disclosed herein. A modular system configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a housing, a communications hub, and a plurality of physical health testing devices. The housing integrates the communications hub and stores the plurality of physical health testing devices. The physical health testing devices are in wired and/or wireless communication with the communications hub. Each physical health testing device is configured to generate physical health data of a user and to transmit generated physical health data to the communication hub and/or a user's mobile device. The modular physical health testing system provides an automated physical exam that can be performed at user's homes or other convenient locations.
