A rack organizes dental implant containers both when housed within intermediate packaging and when removed therefrom, being arranged according to a tooth intended to receive the dental implant within the container. The rack includes: upper and lower flanges, and a connecting flange that separates the upper and lower flanges. The upper flange and connecting flange are each formed with a plurality of openings shaped to receive the dental implant container therethrough when the container is removed from the intermediate packaging. The openings may each have first and second slots to accommodate receiving a container therethrough when housed within intermediate packaging. The lower flange may removably couple to a base with a plurality of recesses, being usable to assist with restorative procedures relating to fixing dental implants, and may be removably coupled to the lower flange with the plurality recesses aligned with a plurality of openings in the lower flange.

A method for manufacturing a packaging with an intraocular lens enclosed therein includes insertion of the intraocular lens into a packaging, comprising a first packaging material which is gas-tight in a first sub-section, and a second packaging material which is permeable to gases in a second sub-section, first sealing of the packaging so that the intraocular lens is enclosed in the interior space of the packaging, the interior space being partially delimited by the first sub-section and the second sub-section, sterilization of the interior space of the packaging by exposing the packaging to a gas so that the gas can penetrate through the second sub-section into the interior space of the packaging, second sealing of the packaging by sealing off a volume of the gas-tight first sub-section of the packaging with the intraocular lens enclosed therein from the volume of the second sub-section.

A surgical staple comprising a substrate and one or more coatings which slows the bioabsorption of the substrate. The coating can be selected so as to affect the environment surrounding the staple once the staple is implanted in the patient. The effect on the environment can cause the bioabsorption to occur within a desired time frame.

A tray is provided that includes a tray body with a tray body cavity formed therein with a medical device compartment formed in the tray body cavity for receiving a medical device at least partially within, the tray further includes one or more retention pockets formed in the tray body and situated in the tray body cavity, and one or more device retainers respectively situated at least partially within and coupled to the one or more retention pockets, wherein the one or more device retainers are translatable between an open position to allow the medical device to be inserted into the medical device compartment and a closed position for securing the medical device in the medical device compartment, and wherein the one or more device retainers remain coupled respectively to the one or more retention pockets in both the closed position and open position.

A tray is provided that includes a tray body with a tray body cavity formed therein with a medical device compartment formed in the tray body cavity for receiving a medical device at least partially within, the tray further includes one or more retention pockets formed in the tray body and situated in the tray body cavity, and one or more device retainers respectively situated at least partially within and coupled to the one or more retention pockets, wherein the one or more device retainers are translatable between an open position to allow the medical device to be inserted into the medical device compartment and a closed position for securing the medical device in the medical device compartment, and wherein the one or more device retainers remain coupled respectively to the one or more retention pockets in both the closed position and open position.

A surgical procedure kit includes a base, a first expansion panel having a first edge pivotably coupled to a first edge of the base, a first tent panel having a first edge pivotably coupled to a second edge of the first expansion panel, a second expansion panel having a first edge pivotably coupled to a second edge of the first tent panel and a second tent panel having a first edge pivotably coupled to the second edge of the second expansion panel. The base, the first tent panel, and the second tent panel each includes a receptacle configured to releasably hold a surgical device. In addition, the base, the first expansion panel, the first tent panel, the second expansion panel and the second tent panel are configurable between a deployed state and a shipping state.

Sterilization tray
A sterilization tray is disclosed herein. A medical instrument, such as an endoscope, may be placed into the sterilization tray, and the sterilization tray with the medical instrument disposed therein may be placed into a vacuum chamber of a sterilization system. The sterilization tray may also be used to transport the medical instrument to and from a point of care. Sterilization is performed with the instrument in the base component and the lid component disposed atop the base component. Transportation is performed with the instrument in the lid component and the base component disposed atop the lid component.
