A foamable resin composition includes a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer and a dynamically crosslinked thermoplastic elastomer in a total amount of 100 parts by mass. An amount of the dynamically crosslinked thermoplastic elastomer is 10 to 40 parts by mass. The composition further includes high-temperature expandable microcapsules and low-temperature expandable microcapsules in a total amount of 25 to 50 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the elastomers, and an amount of the low-temperature expandable microcapsules is 17 to 67% by mass relative to the total amount of the two types of microcapsules.
Modified geopolymer and modified geopolymer composite and process for the production thereof
The invention relates to a modified geopolymer and a modified geopolymer composite comprising additive. The additive is preferably an athermanous additive. The modification is with one or more water-soluble compounds, the water-soluble compound is preferably selected from phosphorus compounds, nitrogen compounds, copper compounds, silver compounds, zinc compounds, tin compounds and magnesium compounds. Also, it relates to compositions which contain the modified geopolymer or modified geopolymer composite. The compositions preferably comprise vinyl aromatic polymer and are in the form of a foam.
Expandable Vinyl Aromatic Polymers with Improved Flame Retardancy
The present invention is related to an expandable vinyl aromatic polymer composition comprising: from 0.5 to 15 parts by weight of dispersed athermanous particles selected from the group consisting of coke, carbon black, graphite and combinations of them, having a volume median particle diameter (D50) comprised between 0.5 and 35 μm, as obtained from laser light scattering measurements according to ISO 13320 using MEK as solvent for vinyl aromatic polymers; from 2 to 10 parts by weight of blowing agent; from 0.2 to 5 parts by weight of halogenated flame retardant; and from 0.02 to 5 parts by weight of zinc-modified hydrotalcite;
per 100 parts of vinyl aromatic polymer.

Molding composition and articles formed thereof
Articles having improved properties are disclosed. The articles are formed from a composition obtained by dry blending: a) 70-95 wt. % of a polyolefin polymer selected from polypropylene homopolymers, polypropylene copolymers, polypropylene impact copolymers, and mixtures thereof; and b) 5 to 30 wt. % of a free-flowing styrenic block copolymer coated with a functional dusting agent having a maximum particle size of 100 microns. The free-flowing styrenic block copolymer requires less than 400 lbs/ft.sup.2 of force to break in a blocking test. The molded article has improved impact strength and haze.
Pellet and thermoplastic resin composition
Provided is a carbon black master batch pellet for black coloring comprising a high concentration of carbon black, having an excellent dispersibility of the carbon black, and which can express a stable black coloring concentration with hardly any classification occurring even when mixed in the various raw materials of a thermoplastic resin composition. A pellet comprising 35 to 55 mass % of carbon black (A), 65 to 45 mass % of a thermoplastic resin (B), and 0 to 10 mass % of a dispersant assistant (C), wherein a diameter (D) in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction is 2 to 5 mm, and a ratio (D/L) of the diameter (D) to a length (L (mm)) in the axial direction is 3.0 to 1.5.
CATALYTIC PYROLYSIS OF POLYSTYRENE INTO AROMATIC RICH LIQUID PRODUCT USING SPHERICAL CATALYST
The present invention provides a process of catalytic depolymerization of polystyrene involving a spherical catalyst, an apparatus for carrying out the depolymerization, recovering the aromatic rich liquid product and recycling the catalyst without any decrease in the catalytic performance. Further, the present invention provides that the aromatic rich liquid product includes styrene, xylene, benzene, ethyl benzene, with styrene content greater than 65%. Additionally, the catalyst involved in the depolymerization process is a spherical catalyst that is easily recovered from coke/char formed during the process and is recycled and reused without any decrease in the catalytic performance.
