MICROPOROUS SHEET PRODUCT AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Microporous sheet product and methods of making and using the same. In one embodiment, the microporous sheet product is made by a process that includes melt-extruding a sheet material using an extrusion mixture that includes a thermoplastic polymer, a non-cross-linked elastomer having a molecular weight of at least 50,000 Da, and a compatibilizing agent. By way of example, the thermoplastic polymer may be a polyolefin, the non-cross-linked elastomer may be a polyisobutylene, and the compatibilizing agent may be mineral spirits. After extrusion, the sheet material may be cooled, and the sheet material may be stretched. The microporous sheet product may be used, for example, as a battery separator, as a food packaging material, as a diffusion barrier in the ultrafiltration of colloidal matter, and in disposable garments.
Thermosetting resin composition and prepreg and laminate obtained with the same
The present invention provides a thermosetting resin composition comprising (A) a curing agent having an acidic substituent and an unsaturated maleimide group which is produced by a specific method, (B) a 6-substituted guanamine compound and/or dicyandiamide, (C) a copolymer resin comprising specific monomer units and (D) an epoxy resin and a prepreg and a laminated plate which are prepared by using the same. The thermosetting resin composition of the present invention is balanced in all of a copper foil adhesive property, a heat resistance, a moisture absorption, a flame resistance, a metal-stuck heat resistance, a relative dielectric constant and a dielectric loss tangent. They have a low toxicity and are excellent in a safety and a working environment, and therefore a prepreg and a laminated plate which have excellent performances are obtained by using the above thermosetting resin composition.
CLOSED-CELL FOAM WATERSTOP SHEET WITH ADHESION LAYER
A closed-cell foam water-stop sheet with an adhesion layer, wherein the closed-cell foam water-stop sheet comprises: the adhesion layer that comprises a rubber component (A) having a total content of 80% by mass or more of a butyl rubber (a1) and an ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (a2), and a petroleum resin-based tackifier (B), the adhesion layer having a thickness of 0.01 to 2.0 mm; and a closed-cell foam sheet having a closed cell ratio of 70% or more, the closed-cell foam sheet being integrally attached to the adhesion layer, and wherein a mass ratio of the ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (a2) to the butyl rubber (a1) [(a2)/(a1)] is 0/100 to 93/7, a content of the petroleum resin-based tackifier (B) is 0.5 to 20 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the rubber component (A), and the closed-cell foam water-stop sheet with an adhesion layer has a 25% compression stress of 10 to 800 kPa.
