The invention is targeted mainly at a polymer powder suitable for 3D printing by sintering, comprising: (a) a polymer composition comprising at least one thermoplastic elastomer; (b) a pigment composition comprising at least one pigment exhibiting an absorbance of the light with a wavelength of 1000 nm, as measured according to the standard ASTM E1790, of less than 50%; and also, if appropriate, (c) one or more fillers or reinforcements; and (d) one or more additional additives.

The invention is also targeted at a process for the preparation of said powder and also at the use of said powder for 3D printing by sintering. Finally, it is targeted at the use of a pigment exhibiting an absorbance of the light with a wavelength of 1000 nm, as measured according to the standard ASTM E1790, of less than 50% to improve the definition and/or the mechanical properties of the articles printed by a process of 3D printing by sintering of a thermoplastic elastomer powder.

The ultraviolet light absorber contains an ultraviolet light absorber A having a molecular weight of 360 or more, and a content of the ultraviolet light absorber A in the expanded polypropylene resin bead is 0.010% by mass or more and 2% by mass or less. An expanded polypropylene resin beads molded article is produced by in-mold molding of the expanded polypropylene resin bead.

Provided is a vinylidene fluoride copolymer particle which is capable of efficiently exhibiting high adhesion between an electrode and a separator. The vinylidene fluoride copolymer particle of the present invention comprises vinylidene fluoride; and a compound having an oxygen atom-containing functional group; wherein a ratio of oxygen atom in a surface of the vinylidene fluoride copolymer particle is higher than a ratio of oxygen atom in the vinylidene fluoride copolymer particle other than the surface thereof.

Nonlinear composite compositions comprise a dielectric matrix material and flakes of a mixed metal oxide having the formula M1.sub.xM2.sub.yO.sub.z dispersed in the dielectric matrix material. M1 is selected from the group consisting of alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, and combinations thereof. M2 is a transition metal or post-transition metal, wherein M2 has an atomic number no greater than 78. The number x is in the range 0.3x1, y is a number in the range 0.5y1.5, and z is a number selected such that the mixed metal oxide is electrically neutral, wherein the amount of flakes in the nonlinear composite composition is sufficient that the nonlinear composite composition has a nonlinear increasing conductivity in response to increasing electric field. Methods of making nonlinear composite compositions and articles including them are disclosed.

HIGH-LOADING-LEVEL COMPOSITES FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE (EMI) APPLICATIONS

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding composites with high-loading-level ceramic beads and methods of making and using the same are described. The composites include high-loading-level of ceramic beads distributed inside a polymer matrix. The ceramic beads have a substantially spherical shape. The ceramic beads are formed by melting ceramic powders or particles. In some cases, the ceramic beads include ferrite beads.

POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE HEXAFERRITE COMPOSITES

Disclosed herein is a hexaferrite composite comprising polytetrafluoroethylene; and greater than or equal to 40 vol %, or 40 to 90 vol % a plurality of Co.sub.2Z hexaferrite particles based on the total volume of the polytetrafluoroethylene and the plurality of Co.sub.2Z hexaferrite particles on a void-free basis; wherein the hexaferrite composite has a porosity of greater than or equal to 10 vol % based on the total volume of the hexaferrite composite; wherein the hexaferrite composite has a permeability of greater than or equal to 2.5 and a ratio of the permeability to the permittivity of greater than or equal to 0.4, both determined at 500 MHz.

Provided is a resin film including: a resin containing a polymer; a hygroscopic particle dispersed in the resin and having a primary particle diameter of 40 nm or more and 80 nm or less and a refractive index of 1.2 or more and 3.0 or less; and an organic solvent-soluble dispersant. Preferably the resin is a silicon-containing resin. Preferably the silicon-containing resin is a silicon-containing thermoplastic resin. Preferably the silicon-containing thermoplastic elastomer contains a graft polymer having a silicon-containing group as the polymer. An organic electroluminescent device including the resin film is also provided.
