COMPOSITION CONTAINING AMMONIUM POLYPHOSHATE
A composition containing ammonium polyphosphate and at least one alkali metal salt or alkaline-earth metal salt are provided along with a process for preparing the composition and uses of the composition as a flame retardant and/or coating material.
Curable composition for fireproofing
Provided is a curable composition which forms a cured product that has excellent fireproof performance, while having excellent shape retainability even in cases where the expansion ratio of the cured product after firing is set to a high value. This curable composition includes a shape retention agent, while having fluidity when applied; and if a cured product that is obtained by curing this curable composition is fired in 600° C. air atmosphere for 30 minutes, the cured product after firing has shape retainability.
Adhesive material, and method of use thereof
An adhesive material which comprises an epoxy component including a first flame retardant and a curing component which includes an adhesion promoter and a second flame retardant The epoxy component and curing component are present in a ratio of about 1:1 and the adhesive is formed when the epoxy component is combined with the curing component.
CROSSLINKABLE FLAME-RETARDANT COATING COMPOSITION
The invention is directed to a crosslinkable flame-retardant coating composition comprising the following components: a) a dendritic polymer having hydroxyl groups, wherein the dendritic polymer has a hydroxyl number in the range of 80 to 800, b) a polyol having at least 3 hydroxyl groups, c) an ammonium polyphosphate compound, d) a base coat polymer selected from a polycarbamate resin or a polymer bearing carboxyl groups, and e) a crosslinker for crosslinking the base coat polymer selected from a compound having two or more aldehyde groups, acetals or hemiacetals of the aldehydes, or a polycarbodiimide.
Such a cross-linkable flame-retardant coating composition improves the overall appearance of the cross-linked base coating on a substrate and also imparts improved flame-retardancy.
Artificial Marble Composition and Artificial Marble Using Same
The present invention provides an artificial marble composition and an artificial marble using the same, the composition including (A) 100 parts by weight of an acrylic resin syrup, (B) 150 parts by weight to 250 parts by weight of an aluminum-based inorganic filler, (C) 8 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight of a phosphorus-based flame retardant, and (D) 35 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight of a magnesium-based flame retardant.
METHOD FOR IMPARTING FLAME RETARDANCY TO A SUBSTRATE MATERIAL
A method for imparting flame retardancy to a substrate material. The method comprises adding to a substrate material a flame retardant composition. The flame retardant composition comprises at least one flame retardant salt, a nitrogen-containing compound, and optionally water. The at least one flame retardant salt comprises an ammonium salt of phosphoric acid. The ammonium salt of phosphoric acid comprises water soluble ammonium polyphosphate (APP). The water soluble ammonium polyphosphate has a total nitrogen as N from about 5 to about 15 weight percent, and a total phosphorus as P.sub.2O.sub.5 from about 30 to about 40 weight percent, based on the total weight of the ammonium polyphosphate (APP).
A MIXTURE CURABLE TO PROVIDE AN INTUMESCENT COATING MATERIAL
A mixture curable to provide an intumescent coating material. The mixture comprises a silane-terminated polymer, a cross-linker for curing the silane-terminated polymer, an epoxy resin, a cross-linker for curing the epoxy resin, and an intumescent package.
FLAME-RESISTANT FOAM AND NONWOVEN FIBEROUS WEB THEREOF
A flame retardant foam. The flame retardant foam includes a from 25 to 75 wt % polyvinyl alcohol foam; and a from 25 to 95 wt % fire retardant coated on the polyvinyl alcohol foam, wherein the fire retardant comprises ammonium polyphosphate or sodium metasilicate; wherein the thickness of the foam is from 2 mm to 1 cm.
Fire retardant compositions
The present disclosure provides a fire retardant composition that includes a non-intumescent composition and an intumescent composition, fire retardant coatings including the same, and methods of preparation and use thereof.
INTUMESCENT COATED VENT FOR LARGE PASSENGER VEHICLES
A vent with louvres or punched holes for allowing airflow between an exterior of a vehicle and an engine bay of the vehicle, wherein the vent has an exterior side and an interior side and is formed from a panel, in which the louvres or the punched holes are located, wherein the interior side of the vent is provided with an intumescent coating. The intumescent coating will inhibit the spread of flame from the engine bay to the exterior of the vehicle thus containing the fire for a much longer period.
