Method for continuous polymerization of modified diene elastomer with lithium amide initiator
A process for the continuous synthesis of a modified diene elastomer comprising at least one silicon atom directly connected to the elastomer chain is provided. The process comprises polymerization by n reactors r1 to rn, considered to be continuous stirred-tank reactors equipped with an internal stirring system and arranged in series, n varying from 2 to 15. The reactor r1 is fed by an input solution comprising a solvent, one or more monomer(s), an anionic polymerization initiator chosen from lithium amides and a polar agent. The temperature of each reactor varies from 20° C. to 150° C. and is greater than or equal to the temperature of the reactor which immediately precedes it. The living diene elastomer obtained exhibits a polydispersity index varying from 1.1 to 1.7. The process further comprises modification of the living diene elastomer obtained in the preceding stage by a functionalization, coupling or star-branching agent.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING COMPOUNDS FOR TYRES AND TYRES COMPRISING THEM
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a vulcanisable elastomeric compound for tyres, characterised by the use of a particular vulcanisation-activating filler and by the methods of adding additives, in particular the compatibilising agent (silane), which occurs only after completion of the reaction between the activating filler comprising zinc and the fatty acid (stearic acid). The present process, advantageous in itself due to the possible reduction of the times and of the energy required for vulcanisation, allows preparing compounds which, with the same performances compared to the traditional ones, can have a reduced zinc content, and consequently a lower release thereof from tyres during use at an environmental level.

ADHESIVE
Described herein is a two-part condensation curable adhesive composition suitable for adhering a front lens having an inner surface coated with an anti-haze coating to a lamp body to create a sealed lamp unit. In general, once cured in place, residual ingredients from the adhesive composition or by-products of cure reactions thereof do not visibly inhibit functionality of the anti-haze coating of the sealed lamp unit.
