THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTING
A printing assembly for thermal transfer printing is disclosed. The assembly comprises at least one first printing system comprising a transfer member having an imaging surface on the front side, a coating station at which a monolayer of thermoplastic particles is applied to the imaging surface, an imaging station at which electromagnetic radiation (EM) is applied, optionally via the rear side of the transfer member, to selected regions of the imaging surface to render the particles coating the selected regions tacky, a transfer station at which only the regions of the particles coating that have been rendered tacky are transferred to a substrate to form an adhesive image; and at least one more downstream printing system. The transfer member includes on its front side an EM radiation absorbing layer, the imaging surface being formed on, or as part of, the absorbing layer, and on its rear side a body which can optionally be transparent to EM radiation.

Weather-resistant, fungal-resistant, and stain-resistant coatings and methods of applying on wood, masonry, or other porous materials
A process for manufacturing the composition coating may include selecting a wood or masonry material substrate and utilizing a sol-gel comprising a silane or silane derivative and metal oxide precursor to coat the substrate. The process may utilize an all solution process or controlled environment for manufacturing a composition coating that prevent wetting and/or staining of a substrate. The composition coatings for treating wood or masonry materials improves weather-resistance, microbial resistance, stain-resistance and fungal-resistance of the materials. The reduced permeability of the resulting masonry materials can also delay or inhibit degradation caused by permeation of ions such as chlorides and sulfates. In addition, a stain comprising the composite solution and pigments may impart additional property to wood or masonry materials whilst retaining or improving the original appearance, particularly for the visibility and contrast of the wood grain as seen after the application of the coating.
Pellet Containing Additives
The present disclosure provides a pellet. In an embodiment, the pellet includes a body having a first end and an opposing second end. The body is composed of a polymeric material. The body has a length, a diameter (body diameter) and a channel. The channel has a diameter (channel diameter), the channel extends through the body from the first end to the second end. An additive in is the channel.

The present disclosure provides a pellet. In an embodiment, the pellet includes a body having a first end and an opposing second end. The body is composed of a polymeric material. ROOM-TEMPERATURE-CURABLE ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION FOR OIL SEAL, AND AUTOMOTIVE PART
A room-temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition for an oil seal, wherein an organosilane compound containing a specific organo-oxymethyl group and represented by formula (1) and/or a partial hydrolysis condensate of said compound is used as a curing agent (crosslinking agent), and an organic compound having a guanidine skeleton is added in combination as a curing catalyst.

(In the formula, each R.sup.1 is independently a C1-12 unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, R.sup.2 is a C1-12 unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, Y is a hydrolyzable group, and n is 0, 1 or 2.)
It is thus possible to obtain a cured product having good rubber properties, adhesiveness, and engine oil resistance after curing even without containing a metal-based catalyst.

SILICONE ELASTOMER COMPOSITION
The present invention provides a tin-free, room temperature curable silicone elastomer composition, wherein the uncured composition is a putty. The silicone elastomer composition comprises a) an end-capped base polymer, wherein the base polymer comprises a polysiloxane or mixture of polysiloxanes, and wherein the end-capped base polymer comprises terminal di-(C.sub.1-4)alkoxy silyl groups; b) at least one amorphous filler; c) 15.1 to 60 parts by weight of at least one spherical filler for each 100 parts by weight of base polymer; and d) a curing catalyst consisting of one or more selected from the group consisting of organic titanates and organic zirconates. The terminal dialkoxy silyl groups of the base polymer can be dimethoxy silyl groups. The at least one amorphous filler can be selected from the group consisting of fumed silica, fumed alumina, carbon black, precipitated silica, precipitated calcium carbonate, surface-treated calcium carbonate and mixtures thereof.

The present invention provides a tin-free, room temperature curable silicone elastomer composition, wherein the uncured composition is a putty. The silicone elastomer composition comprises a) an end-capped base polymer, wherein the base polymer comprises a polysiloxane or mixture of polysiloxanes, and wherein the end-capped base polymer comprises terminal di-(C.sub.1-4)alkoxy silyl groups; b) at least one amorphous filler; c) 15.1 to 60 parts by weight of at least one spherical filler for each 100 parts by weight of base polymer; and d) a curing catalyst consisting of one or more selected from the group consisting of organic titanates and organic zirconates.
