Silane mixtures and process for preparing same

The invention relates to silane mixtures comprising a silane of the formula I
((R.sup.1).sub.y(R.sup.2).sub.3-ySi—R.sup.3—SH  (I)
and a silane of the formula II
(R.sup.1).sub.y(R.sup.2).sub.3-ySi—R.sup.3—(S—R.sup.4).sub.z—Si(R.sup.1).sub.y(R.sup.2).sub.3-y  (II)
where the molar ratio of silane of the formula I to silane of the formula II is 20:80-85:15. The silane mixture according to the invention can be prepared by mixing the silanes of the formula I and silanes of the formula II.

Azeotropic and pseudoazeotropic blends

The present invention relates to azeotropic blends and pseudoazeotropic blends and to coating compositions including such blends. In one aspect, an azeotropic blend or a pseudoazeotropic blend consists essentially of hexamethyldisiloxane and a second component selected from the following: isobutanol, n-propyl acetate, n-butanol, and 1-methoxy-2-propanol.

The heat conductive sheet contains: a matrix comprising a cured product of organopolysiloxane; and heat conductive fillers comprising anisotropic fillers with their major axes oriented in the thickness direction, and has a load property P represented b formula (1) below of 0.1 to 0.7: Load property P=(F.sub.30−F.sub.20)/F.sub.10 (1) wherein F.sub.10 is a load of the heat conductive sheet at 10% compression, F.sub.20 is a load of the heat conductive sheet at 20% compression, and F.sub.30 is a load of the heat conductive sheet at 30% compression.

A polyphenylene sulfide resin composition for automotive cooling parts contains, with respect to 100 parts by weight of a polyphenylene sulfide resin (A): 30 to 110 parts by weight of glass fibers (B); and 0.1 to 3 parts by weight of a silane compound (C) having a functional group selected from an amino group and an isocyanate group. In this polyphenylene sulfide resin composition, the PPS resin (A) has a number-average molecular weight of 7,000 to 14,000, and gives a residue amount of 0.05 to 1.0% by weight when dissolved in 20-fold amount by weight of 1-chloronaphthalene at 250° C. for 5 minutes and subsequently subjected to heat pressure filtration through a PTFE membrane filter having a pore size of 1 μm.
