ROOM TEMPERATURE CURABLE COMPOSITIONS
A room temperature curable sealant/adhesive composition is disclosed. The room temperature curable sealant/adhesive composition comprises: A) one or more organopolysiloxanes; B) a hydrophilic material; C) a cross-linker; D) a titanate catalyst and/or a zirconate catalyst; and E) one or more optional ingredients. A silicone elastomer formed therefrom and related methods are also disclosed. In general, such compositions (upon several hours of contact with water) do not repel water, but rather retain and pick-up water and/or can be wetted by aqueous materials subsequent to exposure.

A room temperature curable sealant/adhesive composition is disclosed. AEROGEL
An aerogel is provided. According to the inventive concept, the aerogel includes a first polymerization unit derived from a first monomer including an alkoxy silyl group; a second polymerization unit derived from a second monomer; and an inorganic aerogel which is chemically bonded to the first polymerization unit.
SILICONE EMULSION AND USES THEREOF
Aqueous silicone emulsion compositions which cure utilising titanium-based reaction products as catalysts, and a process to prepare the same and their uses, are provided. The composition comprises (a) a titanium-based reaction product; (b) one or more silicon containing compounds having at least 2 or at least 3 hydroxyl and/or hydrolysable groups per molecule; (c) one or more surfactants; and (d) water. The titanium-based reaction product (a) is obtained or obtainable from a process comprising the steps of: (i) mixing a first ingredient, an alkoxy titanium compound having from 2 to 4 alkoxy groups with a second ingredient, a linear or branched polydiorganosiloxane having at least two terminal silanol groups per molecule and a viscosity of from 30 to 300,000 mPa.Math.s at 25 C.; (ii) enabling the first and second ingredients to react together by stirring under vacuum to form a reaction product; and (iii) collecting the reaction product of step (ii).

A single-component moisture-curable silicone composition including 100 parts by weight of at least one crosslinkable polydiorganosiloxane having silanol end groups, 5 to 20 parts by weight of at least one hydrophilic silica, 1 to 10 parts by weight of at least one organoalkoxysilane or organoalkoxysiloxane crosslinker that contains at least 2 alkoxysilane groups, 1 to 7 parts by weight of organoalkoxysilane or organoalkoxysiloxane that contains at least one aminoalkyl group having a primary amino group, 0.1 to 7 parts by weight of at least one tin catalyst, up to 5 parts by weight of organoalkoxysilane or organoalkoxysiloxane that contains at least two alkoxysilane groups, wherein silicone composition contains less than 1.0% by weight of water based on total composition, with proviso where reactivity in respect of hydrolysis of organoalkoxysilane or organoalkoxysiloxane is greater than reactivity in respect of hydrolysis of organoalkoxysilane or organoalkoxysiloxane crosslinker.
