A polyolefin composition useful for making sheet membranes, as well as other articles of manufacture are described. The composition polyolefin combines a reactor made thermoplastic (rTPO) with at least one linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) to improve the mold shrinkage and thermal expansion force compared to a rTPO-only composition, without affecting other properties.

A thermoplastic elastomer compound includes a polyolefin elastomer blend of at least two different polyolefin elastomers, styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene block copolymer, and plasticizer. The compound has a Melt Flow Rate (230° C., 2.16 kg) of no less than about 5 g/10 min and a Melt Flow Rate (190° C., 2.16 kg) of no less than about 1 g/10 min. Elastomeric films formed from the compound can be used in place of elastomeric films based on styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS) block copolymers to make components of disposable hygiene articles.

A thermoplastic elastomer compound includes a polyolefin elastomer blend of at least two different polyolefin elastomers, styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene block copolymer, and plasticizer. The compound has a Melt Flow Rate (230° C., 2.16 kg) of no less than about 5 g/10 min and a Melt Flow Rate (190° C., 2.16 kg) of no less than about 1 g/10 min. Elastomeric films formed from the compound can be used in place of elastomeric films based on styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS) block copolymers to make components of disposable hygiene articles.

Sole structures including polyolefin plates and articles of footwear formed therefrom

Sole structures including a plate including a first polyolefin resin, and an edge portion comprising a second resin are disclosed herein. The edge portion is more flexible or less rigid than the plate. Articles of footwear formed from the sole structures are also provided. Methods of making the polyolefin resin compositions, plates, edge portions, sole structures, and articles of footwear are also provided. In some aspects, the first polyolefin resin composition includes an effective amount of a polymeric resin modifier.

POLYMER COMPOSITION SUITABLE FOR MAKING BLOWN FILMS

The present invention relates to a polymer composition comprising at least the following components: A) 70.0 to 95.0 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition of a C.sub.2C.sub.3 random copolymer; whereby said C.sub.2C.sub.3 random copolymer has a melting point in the range of 110 to 140° C. determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to ISO 11357-3; a MFR.sub.2 (230° C., 2.16 kg) determined according to ISO 1133 in the range of 0.5 to 4.0 g/10 min; and a total C2-content in the range of 1 to 10 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the C.sub.2C.sub.3 random copolymer; B) 5.0 to 30.0 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition of a LDPE; whereby said LDPE has a density determined according to ISO 1183 in the range of 915 to 922 kg/m.sup.3; and a MFR2 (190° C., 2.16 kg) determined according to ISO 1133 in the range of 0.9 to 20.0 g/10 min; with the proviso that the weight proportions of components A) and B) add up to 100 wt.-%. Polymer compositions and nonwoven compositions prepared therefrom

Described herein are propylene-based polymer compositions that comprise a reactor blend of a first polymer component and a second polymer component. The first polymer component has an ethylene content of from greater than 12 to less than 19 wt % ethylene, and the second polymer component has an ethylene content of from greater than 4 to less than 10 wt % ethylene. Preferably, the ethylene content of the first and second polymer components satisfy the formula:

The propylene-based polymer compositions are particularly useful for forming meltspun nonwoven compositions that exhibit a desirable balance of retractive force and permanent set.
