PROTECTIVE COVER FOR A PART OF A MEDICAL DEVICE
A protective device (10) provides a protective cover for a part (12) of a medical device and includes a flexible part (14) and with a rigid part (16). The rigid part (16) has at least one locking element (28). The locking element (28) is lockingly connectable to a counterpiece of the corresponding part (12) of the medical device.
ADAPTIVE LIGHTING ARRAY WITH IMAGE-BASED CONTROL
A light assembly is configured to selectively illuminate an operating region in a surgical suite. The assembly comprises a plurality of lighting modules comprising a plurality of light sources configured to emit light. The assembly further comprises at least one imager configured to capture image data disposed in at least one of the lighting modules. An articulating head assembly is configured to support each of the lighting modules. The articulating head assembly comprises a plurality of actuators configured to rotate each of the lighting modules about a first axis and a second axis. The assembly further comprises a controller. The controller is configured to scan the image data for at least one region of interest comprising at least one of a shaded region and a contaminated region.
HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR A SURGICAL LIGHTING SYSTEM
A handle assembly comprised of a base and a detachable handle that mounts to the base. The base includes integrated electronics, such as switches. The detachable handle includes buttons for activating the switches.
STERILIZABLE HANDLE ACTUATING BUTTON INTEGRATION
A handle assembly comprised of a base and a detachable handle that mounts to the base. The base includes integrated electronics, such as switches. The detachable handle includes buttons for activating the switches.
Handle assembly for a surgical lighting system
A handle assembly comprised of a base and a detachable handle that mounts to the base. The base includes integrated electronics, such as switches. The detachable handle includes buttons for activating the switches.
Multi-stage rotary overtravel stop
A medical device assembly including a first member having a first abutment, a second member rotatably connected to the first member and having a second abutment, and an idler member having third abutment and a fourth abutment. The first member is rotatably fixed to the second member. The idler member is free to rotate relative to the first member and the second member until the first abutment abuts the third abutment and until the second abutment abuts the fourth abutment. The first member, the second member and the idler member all rotate relative to each other about a single axis.
Articulatable surgical lighting system having high bandwidth transmission from light head
A surgical lighting system includes a central shaft, a surgical light head, an extension arm, a load balancing arm, and a yoke assembly. The extension arm is pivotably mounted to the central shaft. The load balancing arm is pivotably mounted to the extension arm. The yoke assembly supports the light head for multi-axis movement relative to the load balancing arm. The surgical light head includes a plurality of light emitting elements that are arranged to emit light downward to a region of interest and an optical signal generating component configured to capture data associated with the region of interest and generate an optical signal based on the captured data. Optical fiber cables and rotatable joints transmit the optical signal associated with the captured data from the surgical light head to one or more of the yoke assembly, the load balancing arm, the extension arm, and the central shaft.
Illumination control device of surgical light
A surgical lighting illumination control device includes a suspension system; light heads mounted on the suspension system and each including a housing, light sources mounted in the housing, an unsterilizable grip mounted on the housing for hand holding and moving the light heads, and detection pairs mounted to the unsterilizable grip for receiving an infrared signal that is transmitted therefrom and reflected by an external object for control and adjustment of the illumination, each detection pair including an infrared transmitter and an infrared receiver; a compensation control mechanism connected to the detection pairs and including a control operation unit and environment temperature compensation units connected to the control operation unit; and a sterilizable grip mountable to the unsterilizable grip and including a guide channel formed therein to correspond, in position, to each of the detection pairs to allow the infrared signal to pass therethrough.
AN ELECTROSURGICAL ILLUMINATING INSTRUMENT
An electrosurgical instrument includes a light source, a first conductor, a second conductor, an insulation material positioned between the first conductor and the second conductor, and a light pipe that carries light from the light source to the insulation material.
ELECTRONIC ENDOSCOPE AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An electronic endoscope removably connected to a video processor in which a predetermined gamma characteristic is set includes: an image pickup device provided at a distal end of an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a subject, the image pickup device being configured to pick up an optical image of the subject to generate an image pickup signal; a gain circuit configured to amplify the image pickup signal using a predetermined gain parameter; a gamma characteristic recognition circuit configured to recognize the gamma characteristic of the video processor; and a gain adjustment circuit configured to set the gain parameter according to the gamma characteristic.
