MEDICAL RETRACTOR
A medical retractor is capable of ensuring visibility in a field of operation and in the periphery of the field of operation while realizing the reduction of weight of the retractor compared to a conventional steel-made retractor. A medical retractor includes: a grip portion; and a resin functional portion made of a transparent resin and extending from the grip portion. The resin functional portion has: a trunk portion which has a proximal end thereof connected to the grip portion; and a hook-shaped portion extending in a hook shape from a distal end of the trunk portion. The resin functional portion is configured to allow the viewing of an affected part which opposedly faces a back surface of the resin functional portion from a front surface side in a see-through manner.
Overhead light shield
An overhead light shield is disclosed including a first and a second optically transparent film being partially circle. The first and second optically transparent film includes a notch. The first and second optically transparent films have an upper film side and a lower film side wherein the lower film side has an adhesive layer. The first and second optically transparent films include a plurality of film tabs extending outwardly from the optically transparent circumferential edges. The optically transparent films are protected by a first and a second peel-away film that is removably affixed. The peel-away films contain tabs extending outwardly from the first peel-away film circumferential edges. The optically transparent film tabs and the peel-away film tabs define grasping tabs for positioning the optically transparent film to the surgical room light. The optically transparent film adhesive layers couple the optically transparent films to the surgical room light.
ARTICULATING LASER INCISION INDICATION SYSTEM
A method of planning a minimally invasive surgical incision in a subject includes an image data set of an anatomical region of the subject being received. A surgical plan is created within the image data set. The anatomical region is registered to the surgical plan. A laser is articulated to project a light indication on the subject indicative of a depth of a first incision. A system for implementing the surgical plan on a subject includes a tracking array. A processor receives an initial positional input from the tracking array, three-dimensional scan data of a surgical field and includes software for generating a surgical plan. A laser is positioned to project a light indication on the subject. A controller controls the laser to modify the light indications to indicate a preselected path and a preselected depth of incision. The articulating device receives the position input and the surgical plan.
Medical retractor
Provided is a medical retractor capable of ensuring visibility in a field of operation and in the periphery of the field of operation while realizing the reduction of weight of the retractor compared to a conventional steel-made retractor.
Light head having camera assembly integrated in handle and surgical lighting system including same
A surgical lighting system includes a light head housing, a handle, a camera, and an optical fiber cable. The light head housing includes a plurality of light emitting elements therein that are arranged to emit light downward to a region of interest. The handle is mounted to the light head housing and protrudes downward from the light head housing, the handle including a handle housing having a sufficient size to be gripped by the human hand. A camera is mounted within the handle housing, the camera having a field of view that encompasses at least a portion of the region of interest. An optical fiber cable extends from a location within the handle housing and to the light head housing, the optical fiber cable being configured to transmit optical video signals associated with video data captured by the camera to the light head housing.
LIGHTING APPLIANCE WITH REMOVABLE HANDLE
A lighting appliance (1) comprises a light module (2) having a base (6) designed to receive a handle (5) provided with a grip stick (10), the handle (5) being arranged such that it can be inserted axially in removable manner into a ring (7, 7) arranged on the base (6). The handle (5) is withdrawn axially from the base (6) by turning the ring (7, 7) relative to the base (6).
SURGICAL LIGHT AND USES THEREOF
Provided herein are surgical lighting devices, systems, and methods. In particular, provided herein are sterile, disposable surgical lights and uses thereof.
ILLUMINATED SUCTION RETRACTOR DEVICE
A surgical device for retracting tissue of a subject while offering lighting and suction means integrated into the same device. This device is useful in many different surgical procedures, including those requiring precise tissue retraction in small openings of a subject, such as facial orbital fracture repair.
Light Handle Cover
A surgical light handle cover that covers the handle during surgical procedures to provide a sanitary environment. The cover is preferably made of an elastomeric material or at least a material that stretches when placed on the handle. The cover has a cylindrical portion that covers the handle and a conical portion that covers the base of the handle. An end portion opposite the conical portion covers the tip of the handle where some lights have switches that turn the light on and off when actuated. The cylindrical portion may be tapered with a larger diameter opening to facilitate insertion of the handle into the cylindrical portion, and the end portion may have a thinner sidewall than the cylindrical portion to ease switching of the light.
