EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING POULTRY PARTS

The present invention refers to an equipment (30) and a method for processing poultry parts (14a, 14b, 14c). The equipment (30) comprising: a conveyor belt (11) comprising; a plurality of recesses (12a, 12b, 12c), each recess (12a, 12b, 12c) being configured to receive a proximal part (13a, 13b, 13c) of the poultry part (14a, 14b, 14c), while allowing for a distal part of the poultry N parts (14a, 14b, 14c) to be processed, to remain free; the distal part of the poultry parts (14a, 14b, 14c) being processed by a set of bristles (21) associated with a rotative axis (22).

A tunnel 2 for the in-line anti-bacterial treatment of plucked poultry carcasses (or other animal carcasses) with a liquid cryogen or a cold gas at a temperature of less than 0 C. has an entrance 18 and an exit 20 for the poultry carcasses. A monorail conveyor 22 extends from the entrance 18 to the exit 20 and passes thorough the tunnel 2. Poultry suspension shackles 24 are able to pass along the conveyor 22. Thus, poultry carcasses are able to be conveyed through the tunnel 2. The conveyor 22 may follow a path which reverses direction at least once.

Treatment of food products

A method treats a food product for increasing the weight of the food product. The food product is an animal carcass, poultry, meat, seafood or parts thereof. The method includes introducing nano-bubbles (NB) into water or an aqueous solution to provide NB-including water and contacting the food product with NB-including water for a time sufficient to increase the weight of the food product.

Systems and methods for automated monitoring and control of food processing systems are disclosed. Data from one or more controllers of a food processing system is received during operation of the food processing system at a remote food processing facility. Values of one or more operating parameters of the food processing system are monitored, based on the received data. At least one event of interest occurring during the operation of the food processing system is detected, based on the monitored values of the one or more operating parameters. Control signals for adjusting a configuration of the food processing system are transmitted to the one or more controllers, based on the detected event.

Removal of insolubles from aqueous streams used in food processing

A food processing system includes at least one receptacle containing a composition of water and insoluble solids, a centripetal force-based solid/liquid separator having an inlet, a solids outlet, and a liquid outlet, and a pump able to direct the composition from the receptacle to the inlet of the separator. The separator is configured to separate the composition into a solids stream including the insoluble solids and a liquid stream including water and to direct the solids stream through the solids outlet and the liquid stream through the liquid outlet.

Method for koshering poultry in slaughterhouses

The present disclosure relates to a novel method for rendering slaughtered poultry (mainly chicken and turkey) kosher following the Jewish Kashrut laws. More particularly, the method concerns the salting and washing processes the slaughtered poultry go through prior to packaging and marketing as Kosher foods. During the novel koshering process the birds are hung on stripes, keeping them from touching and salting each other. The end product of the disclosed method of the current application is a Kosher bird that contains less salt, compared to other traditional standard koshering techniques.

A machine for cleaning fowl giblets, which comprises pre-cleaning rollers positioned underneath a guiding assembly for directing the giblets to a chain for gripping and conveying the giblets to a pressing assembly via a cutting element and a unit for washing the giblets. The machine also has a first steering element arranged beside a second steering element, in which the first steering element extends along the length of a cleaning assembly. This cleaning assembly is arranged underneath the pressing assembly and underneath the steering elements.

ENHANCED WASHING OF FOOD PRODUCTS

Methods and apparatus for washing food products are provided. An example controller for controlling washing of a food product is generally configured to execute executable instructions to cause the controller to control generation of a silver ion solution in a wash stage, the generation including mixing components of the silver ion solution in the wash stage, and to control application of the silver ion solution to the food product in the wash stage. An example method of washing a food product generally includes generating a silver ion solution in a wash stage, the generating including mixing components of the silver ion solution in the wash stage, and applying the silver ion solution to the food product in the wash stage.

ENHANCED WASHING OF FOOD PRODUCTS

Methods and apparatus for washing food products (e.g., round produce) are provided. An example apparatus for washing at least one item of round produce generally includes: an applicator configured to apply a first wash treatment solution to an entire exterior surface of the at least one item of round produce; and an opaque shroud configured to prevent light from impinging on the at least one item of round produce and the first wash treatment solution. An example method of washing at least one item of round produce generally includes applying a first wash treatment solution to an entire exterior surface of the item of round produce in a first wash stage while preventing light from impinging on the item of round produce and the first wash treatment solution in the first wash stage.
