Methods, non-transitory computer readable media, serial monitor devices, fiducial tracking knee braces devices, and systems that facilitate generation of improved three-dimensional models from two-dimensional multi-planar images are disclosed. With this technology, correspondence of a patient's knee angle is substantially maintained across x-ray images to improve fiducial-marker-to-bone relationships within the images and facilitate improved scaling and registration of the images to generate a three-dimensional model of the knee. In particular, orientation sensor(s) attached to an improved knee brace device allows a user to substantially match the position of the knee across anterior/posterior and lateral x-ray images so that the images can be scaled and oriented more effectively, resulting in more accurate three-dimensional models and improved preoperative planning for patients.

Surgical Navigation Systems And Methods

The present disclosure relates generally to a surgical system. The surgical system comprises one or more surgical instrument assemblies and a surgical navigation system. The surgical instrument assemblies comprises a tracking device capable of being tracked by the surgical navigation system. The surgical system is also configured to allow the user to define one or more alert zones relative to anatomical structures of the patient and/or a surgical pathway. The surgical system further comprises an alert device in communication with the surgical navigation system, such that the alert device is configured to provide a user-perceptible alert to the surgeon or medical professional based on the position of the surgical instrument, as determined by the surgical navigation system, relative to the defined alert zones and/or surgical pathway.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR REGISTERING AND TRACKING ORGANS DURING INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES
20230090468 · 2023-03-23 ·

Systems, methods, and devices are provided for assisting or performing guided interventional procedures using specialized catheters and inserts. A bend altering device is introduced into a conduit in an organ causing it to take on a tortuous path and to assist in its visualization. A scan is performed of a patient's anatomy to identify targets critical structures and the path of the conduit. A bend altering device containing position indicating elements is placed into the conduit in the same path as before the scan. During a procedure, the pre-procedure scans may be registered to the patient using the location of the position indicating elements in the conduit. This registration may be used in an intervention to guide instruments and templates to obtain diagnostic information or provide therapy to the targets identified in the scans.

A camera tracking system is disclosed for computer assisted navigation during surgery. The camera tracking system is configured to identify a reference array tracked by a set of tracking cameras attached to an extended reality (XR) headset, and determine whether the reference array is registered as being paired with characteristics of one of a plurality of surgical tools defined in a surgical tool database. The camera tracking system is further configured to, based on the reference array being determined to not be registered and receiving user input, register the reference array to be paired with characteristics of one of the plurality of surgical tools selected based on the user input. The camera tracking system is further configured to provide a representation of the characteristics to a display device of the XR headset for display to the user.

MULTIMODALITY ID MARKERS FOR DELINEATING THE POSITION OF A REGION OF INTEREST (ROI) WITHIN A BODY
20220338953 · 2022-10-27 · ·

Multimodality markers for delineation of a region of interest (ROI) within a patient's body are disclosed. The markers may comprise a hermetic bio-compatible container and an external element that is associated with the hermetic bio-compatible container. A unique collective identification (ID) is assigned to each of the markers. The collective ID can comprise a visible component seen on an imaging system and an electronic component stored in a microelectronic chip and embedded within the hermetic bio-compatible container.
