MARKING DEVICE WITH RETRACTABLE CANNULA
An actuator for a marking device includes a cannula mount, a stylet mount, and a trigger. The cannula mount is configured to slidably support a cannula. The cannula mount includes an elongated cannula support shaft. The stylet mount is configured to slidably support a stylet. The stylet mount includes an elongated stylet support shaft. The trigger is rotatably mounted to a trigger mount of a handle. The actuator is mounted to the handle to effect movement of a stylet and a cannula to eject an imaging marker from the marking device and to retract the cannula into the handle following the ejection of the imaging marker from the marking device
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR LOCALIZING MARKERS OR TISSUE STRUCTURES WITHIN A BODY
Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for localizing lesions within a patient's body, e.g., within a breast. The system may include one or more markers implantable within or around the target tissue region, and a probe for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic signals to detect the one or more markers. During use, the marker(s) are into a target tissue region, and the probe is placed against the patient's skin to detect and localize the marker(s). A tissue specimen, including the lesion and the marker(s), is then removed from the target tissue region based at least in part on the localization information from the probe.
RFID tag insertion cartridge and an RFID tag insertion tool
Disclosed herein is an RFID tag insertion cartridge comprising a hollow needle in which an RFID tag is disposed. The cartridge comprises an optional housing in the form of a shell that is shown transparently. The cartridge comprises a carriage that is movably mounted and to which the hollow needle is attached for withdrawing the needle. Also disclosed herein is a RFID tag insertion tool.
Surgical assemblies facilitating tissue marking and methods of use thereof
A method of marking a tumor includes positioning a surgical instrument adjacent breast tissue, generating an image of a tumor in the breast tissue on a display using an ultrasonic probe of the surgical instrument, aligning a needle of the surgical instrument with the tumor using the image of the tumor generated on the display, deploying the needle from the ultrasound probe into the breast tissue, and deploying an elongated tissue marker from the needle into the tumor, thereby fixing a distal portion of the tissue marker in the tumor.
Method and apparatus for surgical navigation
Disclosed is a surgical navigation system for tracking an instrument relative to a patient. The system can track a portion of the patient, an instrument, and/or both relative to image data, a coordinate system, an atlas, a morphed atlas, or combinations thereof. The system can include a tracking device on the instrument to provide six degree of freedom information regarding the location of the instrument.
Removable dual gold marker implantation device with minor damage and using method thereof
A removable dual gold marker implantation device with minor damage comprises a gold marker and a puncture needle, the gold marker is arranged in the needle barrel of the puncture needle when in use; the gold marker comprises a gold marker head and a connecting wire connected with the gold marker head; the gold marker head comprises a first gold marker, a connecting part and a second gold marker connected in sequence. The disclosure reduces the damage to the body when removing the gold marker, and the dual gold marker structure makes the implantation of multiple gold markers at the same time possible and reduces the number of times of implantation and improves the efficiency.
MAXILLARY SINUS PUNCTURE APPARATUS
The present invention relates to an apparatus for puncturing a maxillary sinus, the apparatus including: a main body gripped by an operator; a probing unit detachable from the main body and configured to detect a posterior fontanelle; a surgical procedure tube which is provided in the main body and formed of an endoscope unit configured to monitor the posterior fontanelle, a puncturing unit configured to puncture the posterior fontanelle, and an irrigation tube configured to irrigate the maxillary sinus through a punctured portion of the posterior fontanelle; and an operation unit provided in the main body and configured to operate the surgical procedure tube.
Breast Biopsy Marker And System
A breast biopsy marker includes a catheter shaft and a bioabsorbable balloon. The catheter shaft has a lumen, a proximal tube portion, and a distal tube portion. The proximal tube portion is joined to the distal tube portion by a frangible link. The distal tube portion has a one-way valve located in the lumen. The bioabsorbable balloon is fixedly connected to the distal tube portion to define a balloon assembly. The bioabsorbable balloon is configured for fluid communication with the lumen of the catheter shaft at a location distal to the one-way valve of the distal tube portion of the catheter shaft. The balloon assembly is configured to be separated from the proximal tube portion of the catheter shaft by breaking the frangible link.
Expandable tissue cavity marker devices, systems and deployment methods
Embodiments relate to expandable tissue cavity markers and corresponding systems and deployment methods. In one embodiment, an expandable tissue cavity marker comprises a pouch and at least one radiopaque marker element. The pouch can transition between a compressed state, in which a profile or dimension of the tissue cavity marker is reduced such that the tissue cavity marker can be deployed through a minimally invasive surgical procedure incision, and an expanded state, in which a profile or dimension of the tissue cavity marker is increased such that the tissue cavity marker fills or defines a volume of a tissue cavity. In one embodiment, the pouch can be transformed between the compressed state and the expanded state by delivery of a fill material into the pouch. The pouch can comprise one or more functional materials in embodiments, including materials that provide an anti-infection, hemostasis, anti-migration, medicinal, or other function to the tissue cavity marker.
Tissue localization device and method of use thereof
Tissue localization devices and methods of localizing tissue using tissue localization devices are disclosed. The tissue localization device can comprise a handle comprising a delivery control, a delivery needle extending out from the handle, and a localization element within the delivery needle. The localization element can be deployed out of the delivery needle or retracted back into the delivery needle when the delivery control is translated in a first direction or a second direction, respectively. The localization element can be coupled to a flexible tracking wire.
