HANDS-FREE DENTAL SUCTION DEVICE
An exemplary hands-free dental suction device includes an oral partition element, a suction interface portion, a first suction tube and an aerosol capture shroud. The suction interface portion is placeable in fluid communication with a suction source. The first suction tube may have a partition interface attached to the oral partition element, and may extend in fluid communication between the partition interface and the suction interface portion. The aerosol capture shroud may have an aerosol inlet end and an aerosol discharge end. The aerosol inlet end may be larger than the aerosol discharge end, which may thereby give the aerosol capture shroud a flared shape. The aerosol capture shroud may be affixed to an external surface of the first suction tube. The first suction tube may include an intermediate suction port by which the aerosol discharge end is in fluid communication with the first suction tube.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PROTECTING HEALTHCARE WORKERS FROM AIRBORNE PATHOGENS
An isolation barrier and method of using it. The isolation barrier includes a mask with a face opening and at least one access opening in front of the subject's nose and/or mouth and an enclosure having a first enclosure opening attached around the access opening, a second enclosure opening, and flexible material extending from the first enclosure opening to the second enclosure opening and defining an enclosure interior, the flexible material comprising at least one area through which the enclosure interior can be viewed, the mask and enclosure interior defining a medical procedure field extending from the subject's nose and mouth to the second enclosure opening when the isolation barrier is in place on the subject's face.
AEROSOL PROTECTION SYSTEM
Hygiene regulations and social distancing are very effective in blocking short distance infections. During the lockdown, the distance rules can usually be adhered to, but what happens when the actual lockdown is over and the people meet again in a confined space? Then additional effective and efficient protection is essential to stabilize infection rates. Since the viruses are spread by contact and droplet infection, technical devices are required that effectively intervene in the chain of infection and effectively block infection. An effective protection is the respiratory mask as known since 100 years.
An alternative to mask is an aerosol protection system for various applications in environment. The protection system consists of adjustable air sucking device and air blowing device in different form factors based on application. The aerosol protection system uses either an air curtain or air shield to prevent the aerosol going from one side of the curtain or shield to the other side.
INTUBATION CHAMBER
An intubation chamber comprising a vertical member that comprises at least one arm port, an enclosure member comprising at least one access port; and a transparent angled member coupled to the vertical member and the enclosure member, said at least one arm port to allow access to intubate a patient.
PATIENT BARRIER DEVICE AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING EXPOSURE BETWEEN A PATIENT AND CAREGIVER
A patient barrier device includes a shield that defines a protective volume subjacent the shield and a patient's face. The patient barrier device further includes a fluid port in fluid communication with the protective volume. The patient barrier device further includes a mounting feature connected to the shield for supporting the shield relative to the patient's face. A system includes a patient barrier device having a shield that defines a protective volume subjacent the shield and the patient's face. The system further includes a pump coupled with the patient barrier device. A method includes positioning a patient barrier device over a face of a patient, the patient barrier device having a shield defining a protective volume over the face of the patient. The method further includes drawing air from the protective volume while the face of the patient is in the protective volume.
BIO SHIELD FOR DENTAL CHAIR
A shield device and related methods of use for conducting a patient procedure, such as a dental procedure, when the patient is positioned in or on a chair or table. The shield device includes a support arm and a shield. The shield is mounted to the support arm and movable between an active position vertically above a portion of the patient when the patient is lying in the chair or table, and an inactive position removed from patient. The shield has a transparent portion through which a user can view the patient when the shield is in the active position. The shield includes a ventilation system to remove air from a space defined between the patient and the shield when the shield is in the active position.
CONFORMABLE AEROSOL CONTAINMENT DEVICE
An aerosol containment enclosure dimensioned to enclose a head of a patient comprising a plurality of panels to be folded or moved from an unfolded position to a folded position in order to form the aerosol containment enclosure to protect from expelled contaminated aerosol particles.
Sterile site apparatus, system, and method of using the same
Apparatus, system, and methods are provided for reducing infectious agents at a sterile site by preventing infectious agents from coming into contact with the sterile site. A barrier is produced for infectious agents that may come in proximity or otherwise communicate with the site. The apparatus is configured to create a void-free barrier in which infectious agents are reduced with minimal exposure of potentially harmful effects of the barrier to the sterile site, objects, or users of the apparatus.
NEGATIVE PRESSURE AEROSOLIZATION MITIGATION DEVICES AND METHODS
An aerosolization mitigation device is provided. The aerosolization mitigation device can include a negative pressure aerosolization mitigation system. A transparent barrier can form a frame of the system, and a negative pressure can be generated in the internal volume. The device can isolate a patient to allow ambulatory, surgical, and routine care to proceed during periods of higher patient volume or viral transmission. The negative pressure environment mitigates viral transmission to protect healthcare providers and others in the vicinity of the patient from health risks during patient care.
NEGATIVE PRESSURE MEDICAL PROCEDURE APPARATUS
A medical containment enclosure defines an internal chamber configured to receive at least part of a patient during a medical procedure, with the enclosure operable to fluidly connect to a suction device. The enclosure includes a containment housing, an access portal, and a suction port. The containment housing at least partly defines the chamber. The access portal defines an orifice that permits chamber ingress and egress. The suction port fluidly communicates with the chamber and is fluidly connectable to the suction device to permit the suction device to draw fluid from the chamber. The access portal restricts fluid flow through the orifice so that fluid removal by the suction device is operable to reduce an internal chamber pressure below an external pressure and thereby restrict aerosols from exiting the chamber via the access portal.
