STERILITY HEADSET DEVICE FOR SURGICAL AND PARA-SURGICAL PROCEDURES
The present invention relates to a device adapted to create a sterile environment located at the patient’s head and face level, necessary during surgical and para-surgical procedures, for example in the dermatological, aesthetic-plastic, reconstructive and ophthalmic fields. Said device, small in size and easily transportable, allows to create a sterile environment located in the surgical area without the need for an operating theatre.
RELOCATION MODULES AND METHODS FOR SURGICAL FIELD
Examples of a module for housing unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment for use during surgery. The module can include a lower section and a tower-like upper section. The lower section can house unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment. The tower-like upper section can be located on top of the lower section. A water-resistant cowling can enclose at least a portion of the lower section and the tower-like upper section. A cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be protectively housed within the tower-like upper section. The cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be configured to emerge upward from a top of the tower-like upper section to substantially seat itself on the top of the tower-like upper section when activated allowing the ultraviolet-C light to disinfect the patient and staff-contacting upper surfaces of the equipment in the operating room.
Suction Ring
A suction ring for mounting close to the mouth opening of a dental patient, comprising an extraoral tensioning element. The tensioning element is realised as a suction tensioning element and forms or spans a negative pressure space with a film element. The negative pressure space extends annularly or partially annularly, and the negative pressure space has at least one suction nozzle, in particular pointing radially inwards.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING THE SPREAD OF AIRBORNE MATERIALS DURING CLINICAL OR LABORATORY PROCEDURES
A system can include a barrier configured to form a three-dimensional (3D) structure to define an interior volume and an exterior space and to mitigate fluid movement from the interior volume and into the exterior space thereby mitigating droplet, articulate, and aerosol movement in the flow path of the fluid from the interior volume and into the exterior space. The system can include a plurality of passages extending through the barrier to provide access from the exterior space and into the interior volume to perform the procedure on the patient or perform the study on the laboratory sample arranged in the interior volume. The barrier can be configured to be formed in the 3D structure to arrange a portion of the patient or the laboratory sample in the interior volume. The barrier can be external to the patient.
PORTABLE AEROSOL-PROTECTIVE APPARATUS FOR USE IN A HOSPITAL OR MEDICAL SETTING
Disclosed herein is a portable aerosol-protective apparatus and method for reducing the exposure of healthcare workers to contaminants and aerosols that may contain respiratory and other pathogens. The apparatus generally comprises a shield suitable for forming a partial enclosure around the head-space end of a hospital or surgery bed, through which a medical procedure can be performed on a patient. The method generally comprises performing the medical procedure on the patient through the shield of the disclosed apparatus.
Aerosol evacuation system with a barrier cover
The invention discloses an improved dental aerosol evacuation system equipped with a barrier cover subsystem in a dental procedure. Due to its dome-like special shape and other particular shapes, the barrier cover of the subsystem possesses a vacuum collecting capability that also physically blocks the spread of dispersed aerosols, blood components, and/or droplets during the dental procedures. At least a throughput connecting hole is connected from the curved barrier cover to the proximal end of the suction tubing of the subsystem. The vacuum collecting subsystem of the invention evacuates all or most of the collected unhealthy risk factors out of the treatment room completely for safety of patients, staff, and practitioners.
DENTAL OPERATORY PROTECTION TABLE
A protective apparatus for use in medical and dental procedures to prevent exposure and exchange of harmful substances between an area isolated by the apparatus and the environment of use. The apparatus includes a physical shield, a vacuum barrier, and an adjustable support frame. The apparatus further includes a vacuum connector for connecting the apparatus to a vacuum source, a vacuum conduit for flow communicating with the air around the perimeter of the physical shield such that the vacuum source draws air along with solid and liquid matter entrained in the air into the vacuum conduit, and a plurality of vacuum apertures located along the vacuum conduit for communicating the vacuum source with the air. The apparatus provides protection for persons in proximity to a source of harmful substances such as aerosols derived from patients infected with viruses or the like and more in particular corona viruses.
DEVICES AND METHODS TO ENTRAP AEROSOLS AND DROPLET
The invention encompasses devices and methods that at least partially entrap the droplets and aerosols from a person undergoing an aerosol/droplet-generating procedure, thereby reducing a heath care worker's direct exposure to such health hazards. The device includes a planar cover structure impermeable to aerosols, droplets, fluids and gas. The planar cover structure providing a barrier between a health care worker and the body cavity or orifice of a patient. A hollow tubular extension forming an opening on the planar cover structure and the opening is configured to he positioned approximately on top of the body cavity or orifice of the patient. The opening configured to be reversibly closed via a closure mechanism.
AIRBORNE PATHOGEN EXTRACTION SYSTEM
An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.
