A system for use in invasive medical procedures of the skin with a plastic clear tent like structure that is internally sterile and has incorporated gloves, attaches to the skin, and allows any devices contained in the system to be manipulated in sterile fashion to accomplish a number of different medical procedures while facilitating ultrasound guidance of procedures.

RELOCATION MODULES AND METHODS FOR SURGICAL FIELD

Examples of a module for housing unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment for use during surgery. The module can include a lower section and a tower-like upper section. The lower section can house unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment. The tower-like upper section can be located on top of the lower section. A water-resistant cowling can enclose at least a portion of the lower section and the tower-like upper section. A cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be protectively housed within the tower-like upper section. The cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be configured to emerge upward from a top of the tower-like upper section to substantially seat itself on the top of the tower-like upper section when activated allowing the ultraviolet-C light to disinfect the patient and staff-contacting upper surfaces of the equipment in the operating room.

AIR PLENUMS FOR PRODUCING IMPROVED LAMINAR ENTRAINMENT AIRFLOW AND METHODS OF THEIR USE
20190290388 · 2019-09-26 ·

Air plenums that produce highly laminar airflow and methods of their use are disclosed. In certain embodiments, an air plenum produces substantially downward laminar airflow such that a vertical curtain of air extending down from the plenum is created (e.g., at least in part by entrainment). In certain embodiments, an average airflow velocity in an outer region of airflow is at least 1.5 higher than an average airflow velocity of an inner region surrounded by the outer region, for example, when measured at a certain height above the floor (e.g., at a height of a patient treatment table). In certain embodiments, outlets of an air plenum are arranged such that they are bounded by a circular cross section. As a circular cross section does not have any corners, turbulent regions at the perimeter of the downward airflow are eliminated.

STERILE SITE APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME

Apparatus, system, and methods are provided for reducing infectious agents at a sterile site by preventing infectious agents from coming into contact with the sterile site. A barrier is produced for infectious agents that may come in proximity or otherwise communicate with the site. The apparatus is configured to create a void-free barrier in which infectious agents are reduced with minimal exposure of potentially harmful effects of the barrier to the sterile site, objects, or users of the apparatus.

PORTABLE TELEMEDICINE SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED MEDICAL IMAGING AND UV STERILIZATION
20190254903 · 2019-08-22 ·

The present disclosure relates to portable medical systems and methods for deploying a remote surgical theater. The portable medical system may include a portable medical container, a sanitization compartment, and a power supply. The portable medical container may be transitionable between a closed position and an open position. The sanitization compartment may be disposed within the portable medical container and transitionable between a closed position and an open position. The power supply may be disposed within the portable medical container, the power supply configured to selectively supply electrical power to the sanitization compartment. The power supply may be configured to receive user input and, in response to the user input, transmit the electrical power to the sanitization compartment.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ENCLOSURE GAS PRESSURIZATION, INFLATION, AND AIRFLOW MANAGEMENT
20240156566 · 2024-05-16 ·

An enclosure-system includes an inflatable enclosure and a control system. The enclosure includes one or more enclosure walls made of flexible materials and at least one transparent section configured to allow users to observe the inside of the enclosure from the outside the enclosure. The enclosure includes one or more air vents, wherein at least one of the vents has a variable pneumatic resistance during operations. The control system is configured to control the environment inside the enclosure. The control system includes an air source configured to provide air to the enclosure, one or more sensors, and a processor.

SURGICAL STERILE FIELD
20240156565 · 2024-05-16 · ·

A surgical sterile field system includes an inflatable flexible enclosure that is transparent in at least part of its expanse and a pair of gloves that are hermetically formed and sealed on a wall of the enclosure to allow access to an inside of the enclosure near a surgical site. Further, the system includes an incision site of a size corresponding to the required surgical site. The site has an adhesive at least surrounding its exterior periphery that is attachable to the skin of the patient adjacent the surgical sight and a cover over the incision site adhesive which can be removed prior to use. The enclosure at the incision site can be cut by a surgical instrument to expose the surgical site.

Portable air purification system
11974888 · 2024-05-07 · ·

A system, method, and air purification device. Air is taken in from an environment into the air purification system. The air is filtered with a primary filter. The filtered air is treated with vacuum ultraviolet radiation in a primary reaction chamber to generate irradiated air. The irradiated air is treated with ultraviolet-C radiation in a secondary reaction chamber to remove ozone and neutralize contaminants to generate purified air. The purified air is emitted back into the environment from the air purification system.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING A CONTROLLED OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
20240189083 · 2024-06-13 ·

An air handling and filtration/treatment system (whether portable of affixed) for the mitigation and management of airborne biological contaminants (either those pre-existing or those that may become generated) that includes a suspended air in-take assembly containing a removable filter; that includes a deflector having ducting leading to a housing assembly that includes a UV sanitizer, a fan assembly and controller; and includes an outflow assembly that includes ducting leading to a position able manifold having a plurality orifices. The manifold and deflector are laterally offset from the housing assembly and vertically aligned with each other. The manifold is positioned to encircle the bioaerosol source. When the system is operated, the fan assembly suctions air through the filter positioned at the duct inlet, through the UV sanitizer, and expels the treated air through the manifold orifices which are directed towards the deflector to create an air curtain and negative pressure environment which contains the newly generated bioaerosols directing them to the filter of the in-take assembly.
