Relocation module and methods for surgical equipment

An anesthetic equipment storage and waste air management module configured to housing electronic and electromechanical surgical equipment including a system to measure and record administration of one or more IV medications or fluids for IV administration. The module can include a housing having a lower section and a tower-like upper section, wherein the lower section is configured to house unrelated waste heat-producing electronic and electromechanical surgical equipment. The module can also include a cowling that substantially confines waste heat generated by the unrelated waste heat-producing electronic and electromechanical surgical equipment, and can include a system for measuring and recording the administration of the one or more IV medications and fluids.

Evacuation dam frame

An evacuation dam apparatus including a frame having a top frame member, a bottom frame member, and two side frame members. A working area formed by the frame, a plurality of ports adjacent the working area, an outlet fluidly coupled with the plurality of ports. A fluid flow from at least a portion of the plurality of ports to the outlet forms a fluid flow path across the working area and at least a portion of the fluid flow path is formed within the frame.

EXTRAORAL VACUUM AEROSOL CUP AND METHOD OF USE
20230095133 · 2023-03-30 ·

An affordable, reusable or one-time usage cup which enables effective and efficient collecting and removing of ejected aerosols/droplets from the mouths and/or nasal passages of dental patients but with enough room to still perform any dental procedure. The cup is connected to a vacuum source. The design of the cup is generally funnel-like and includes a cover which catches large debris ejected from the dental patient. The cup may include a variable height rim surrounding the input opening and significantly removes any aerosols/debris ejected from the patient thereby lowering the exposure of the dental professional to airborne and surface contaminants. The cup cover, occluding the main cup opening, includes holes through which any aerosols/droplets pass.

PERSONAL RESPIRATORY ISOLATION SYSTEM

A personal respiratory isolation system (PRIS) provides a personal, negative pressure environment for a patient or user that reduces contamination and spread of pathogens exhaled by the patient into the environment. The PRIS includes an enclosure to receive the patient's head (such as a hood and a drape) and a negative pressure source which draws ambient air into the interior of the enclosure and draws air within the enclosure's interior (including the exhalations of the patient, including any contaminants and/or pathogens) out of the enclosure via a fluid port into a container for biohazard processing or disposal. The PRIS may allow positive air pressure therapeutic treatments to be delivered to the patient within the negative pressure environment, and the PRIS may maintain a constant pressure within the interior of the enclosure. The PRIS may include a transparent, hinged face shield for ease of patient observation and/or access.

A SCREEN COVER DEVICE FOR AN AIR-CLEANING DEVICE
20230036753 · 2023-02-02 · ·

A screen cover device and an air-cleaning device configured to be used together with such a screen cover device, wherein said screen cover device is configured for holding at least one disposable screen cover which when in use, is configured for covering at least a substantial part of an air outflow area of a screen of the air-cleaning device, wherein said screen cover device is provided as an attachment to the air-cleaning device and comprises: at least one disposable screen cover; and a first unit which is configured for keeping the at least one disposable screen cover when not in use and which is configured to be mounted to the air-cleaning device.

Face-mounted, negative-pressure antechamber

Embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for protecting doctors and others from pathogenic microorganisms aerosolized during surgical and other procedures on patients. The systems and methods generally operate by forming a partially-enclosed chamber around the patient's face during the procedure. A facial adapter and facial shield isolate a portion of the patient's face from the surrounding environment. The partially-enclosed chamber is connected to a vacuum source that brings the pathogenic particles through a filter, which further decreases the number of pathogenic particles expelled into the environment.

AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR PERFORMING HAIR RESTORATION
20220346896 · 2022-11-03 ·

The invention relates to an automated system for performing hair restoration, which comprises automated harvest means, comprising a harvesting needle mechanism and a temporal storage means for harvested follicles; automated transplanting means, comprising a transplanting needle mechanism and a temporal storage means from which harvested follicles are extracted for transplantations; displacement means, onto which one of the automated harvest means or one of the automated transplanting means are movably connected for being displaced to desirable harvest or transplantation target points of a patient head; image acquisition means for acquiring images of a patient's scalp; mechanical support means for supporting and stabilizing the patient and particularly the patient's head during the restoration procedure; a control module, comprising suitable data processing and storage hardware and software configured to receive and process images acquired by the two or more image acquisition by image processing algorithms, map the initial patient's hair distribution, identify qualifying candidate follicles for transplantation, and finally to generate an optimized harvest and transplantation plan considering aesthetic, efficiency and safety optimization parameters. The control module is further configured to operate the at least one automated harvest means, the at least one automated transplanting means and the at least one displacement means to harvest and to transplant hair follicles in accordance with the generated optimized harvest and transplantation plan.

Airborne pathogen extraction system
11484620 · 2022-11-01 ·

An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.

Intubation Protective Enclosure and Method of Use and Disinfecting

The current invention provides an enclosure that can be placed over a patient in order to contain bodily fluids. The device includes a clear plastic sheet that fits snugly over a frame. The sides of the device contain access ports for physicians or their instruments to enter the patient’s area. These ports may be holes or hanging strips of sheet that overlap so that they form a sufficient seal while also allowing easy access to the patient when pushed aside. The bottoms of the sheet may contain weights to hold the sheet down. There is the possibility of including filters or positive/negative air flow ports. The entire device may be disposable. The frame may be solid, or the frame may pop open like an enclosure or umbrella. The device may also have straps that can be tightened underneath the bed or stretcher to secure the entire device in place.
