A wound retractor with an integrated diffuser is also disclosed. The wound retractor includes an upper ring, a lower ring, a sleeve extending between and connecting the upper ring to the lower ring, and an integrated diffuser interface having a gases inlet and a diffusion mechanism.

Negative pressure respiratory treatment hood system

A negative pressure respiratory treatment hood for human medical patients. A rigid hood, preferably of unitary fabrication from a clear material, is positioned over the patient's head. The patient's body extends out of an opening in a front wall of the hood. A hinged door may be attached to the front wall of the hood, and is closed and partially closes the opening, and a shroud is sealing connected to the hood and is draped over the patient so as to form a pressure seal. A negative pressure source is connected to the hood and forms a negative pressure environment around the patient's head. Access openings have a resilient material across them, with small openings in the resilient material, to permit access to the patient by medical personnel and/or medical equipment.

Enhanced method for air purification
12440302 · 2025-10-14 · ·

A system, method, and air purification device. Air is taken in from an environment into the air purification system. The air is treated with vacuum ultraviolet radiation in a first reaction chamber to generate irradiated air. The irradiated air is treated with ultraviolet-C radiation in a secondary reaction chamber to generate purified air. The purified air is emitted back into the environment from the air purification system.

Oral Cavity Aerosol Trapping and Collection Ring and Mask

A system and method for adaptive air purification. Air from an environment is received by an air purification system through a hose or vent. The air is prefiltered to generated filtered air. The filtered air is treated with vacuum-ultraviolet radiation in a first reaction chamber to produce irradiated air. The irradiated air is treated with ultraviolet-C radiation in a second reaction chamber. One or more sensors measure values including at least one of air flow rate, ozone level, and particle concentration. An intensity of the radiation or a fan speed is adjusted based on the measured values.
