Bacteria Spread Prevention Tool for Oral Procedures
20220039933 · 2022-02-10 ·

This present invention relates to a bacteria spread prevention tool designed to be used during oral procedures and is used to prevent the smear or spread of bacteria and viruses. The bacteria spread prevention tool comprises a slightly curved polycarbonic device having an interior suction mechanism. The prevention tool can be placed 4 to 6 inches from the oral cavity of a user, thereby forming a barrier between the user's mouth and the dental care professional, in order to prevent the spread of bacteria, or other pathogens via the oral cavity during dental health checkups or dental procedures. The transparent polycarbonic device provides access to the oral cavity while blocking the spread of aerosols and pathogens.

Relocation modules and methods for surgical field

Examples of a module for housing unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment for use during surgery. The module can include a lower section and a tower-like upper section. The lower section can house unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment. The tower-like upper section can be located on top of the lower section. A water-resistant cowling can enclose at least a portion of the lower section and the tower-like upper section. A cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be protectively housed within the tower-like upper section. The cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be configured to emerge upward from a top of the tower-like upper section to substantially seat itself on the top of the tower-like upper section when activated allowing the ultraviolet-C light to disinfect the patient and staff-contacting upper surfaces of the equipment in the operating room.

Sterile surgical drape for ophthalmic surgery
11234785 · 2022-02-01 · ·

The disclosure herein provides methods, systems, and devices for a sterile ophthalmic surgical drape system that can provide a sterile operating field for use by a doctor, surgeon, nurse, and the like during ophthalmic medical procedures. The sterile field created by the drape system can allow a doctor, surgeon, nurse and the like to perform a medical procedure, such as ophthalmic surgery, outside of an operating room and in locations such as a doctor's office or a military operating room war setting. The sterile ophthalmic surgical drape system can comprise a drape, a frame apparatus, a hole of sufficient size for a microscope, a fan, a filter, air directors, and slits. The drape system can comprise a collapsible frame apparatus. The drape system may be configured to be used in conjunction with a surgical tray that houses pre-sterilized tools for use in a medical procedure.

DATA ANALYTICS AND INTERFACE PLATFORM FOR PORTABLE SURGICAL ENCLOSURE

Provided herein is a portable surgical system designed for interoperability with surgical or research tools and processes. The portable surgical system may comprise a portable enclosure and one or more sensors. Also provided herein are methods for training surgery robots for use with the system and manufacturing the portable surgical system.

NEGATIVE-PRESSURE DOME
20220233380 · 2022-07-28 ·

A negative-pressure dome includes a transparent domed shield, a flexible skirt attached to the perimeter of the domed shield, a hose attachment port formed on the domed shield; and access openings in at least one of the domed shield and the flexible skirt. The transparent domed shield consists of a clear rigid plastic. The access openings may be at least partially occluded by flexible flaps that are deflectable to increase an open cross-section of the access openings. In a first configuration, the access openings are disposed in the domed shield sized to cover a face and are sized to have a cross-section between 3 cm.sup.2 and 200 cm.sup.2. In a second configuration, the access openings are disposed in the flexible skirt and are sized to have a cross-section between 30 cm.sup.2 and 200 cm.sup.2, while the domed shield is sized to cover head and chest of a subject.

STERILE SITE APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME

Apparatus, system, and methods are provided for reducing infectious agents at a sterile site by preventing infectious agents from coming into contact with the sterile site. A barrier is produced for infectious agents that may come in proximity or otherwise communicate with the site. The apparatus is configured to create a void-free barrier in which infectious agents are reduced with minimal exposure of potentially harmful effects of the barrier to the sterile site, objects, or users of the apparatus.

ORAL MEDICAL ASSIST DEVICE
20210401557 · 2021-12-30 ·

An oral medical assist device for covering an oral area of a patient, including a mask body, is provided. The mask body, is at least partially transparent and defines an internal space, including a suction connecting portion and an operation portion. The suction connecting portion and the operation portion are configured to opposite to each other. The operation portion includes at least one opening. The suction connecting portion is configured to connect to a medical suction device to absorb objects in the internal space while the mask body covers the patient's oral area. Another oral medical assist device includes a closed end, so that the droplets from the oral area will not be spread outside of the mask body. In this way, the oral medical assist device can reduce or prevent droplets from spreading to the environment when the patient opens his/her mouth.

BONE PREPARATION SYSTEM

A bone preparation system kit includes a hand piece, tubing coupled to an input of the hand piece, and a nozzle with a nozzle tip coupled to an output port of the hand piece. The hand piece includes an internal passageway extending there through from the inlet port to the outlet port for forming a flow path and further includes a valve stem supported therein for movement across the internal passageway for opening and closing the internal passageway wherein flow along the flow path is blocked by the valve stem. The hand piece also includes a trigger configured to move the valve stem to thereby control the flow of fluid through the hand piece. The hand piece, nozzle, and tubing are sterilized and enclosed in a package, such as plastic or metal foil package, including a plastic or metal foil pouch, which is configured to maintain the sterilization of said bone preparation system.

AIRBORNE PATHOGEN EXTRACTION SYSTEM
20210402044 · 2021-12-30 ·

An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.
