Diaphragm-based sensor with a corrugated sidewall
A diaphragm-based sensor includes a deflectable diaphragm, a base layer opposite the diaphragm, and a corrugated wall extending between the diaphragm and the base layer. The diaphragm is suspended over a cavity enclosed by the diaphragm, the base layer and the corrugated wall. The diaphragm includes a first electrode and the base layer includes a second electrode such that a capacitance between the first and second electrodes changes when the diaphragm is deflected relative to the cavity.
Sparse calibration of magnetic field created by coils in metal-rich environment
A calibration method includes receiving magnetic field values, which are generated by a plurality of real magnetic transmitters and are measured at multiple positions on a grid in a region containing a magnetic field perturbing element. Approximate locations of the real magnetic transmitters are received. Using the approximate locations, a respective plurality of imaginary magnetic sources is characterized inside the field perturbing element. Using the measured magnetic field values, the approximate locations, and the characterized imaginary sources, there are iteratively calculated (i) actual locations of the real and imaginary magnetic sources in the region, and (ii) modeled magnetic field values that would result from the real and imaginary magnetic sources at the actual locations. Using the calculated locations, and the modeled magnetic field values at the multiple positions on the grid, a magnetic field calibration function is derived for the region.
Systems, Devices, And Methods For Mapping Organ Profiles
Devices, systems, and methods for the localization of body lumen junctions and other intraluminal structure are disclosed. Various embodiments permit clinicians to identify and locate lesions and/or anatomical structures within a lumen and accurately place leads and/or devices within a lumen, through determining the intralumen conductance and/or cross-sectional area at a plurality of locations within the body lumen.
Method and a system for detection of eye gaze-pattern abnormalities and related neurological diseases
The present disclosure relates to a method and a system for detecting a neurological disease and an eye gaze-pattern abnormality related to the neurological disease of a user. The method comprises displaying stimulus videos on a screen of an electronic device and simultaneously filming with a camera of the electronic device to generate a video of the user's face for each one of the stimulus videos, each one of the stimulus videos corresponding to a task. The method further comprises providing a machine learning model for gaze predictions, generating the gaze predictions for each video frame of the recorded video, and determining features for each task to detect the neurological disease using a pre-trained machine learning model.
Analyte Monitoring System and Methods
Disclosed embodiments include methods and systems including a receiver unit of a glucose monitoring system. The receiver is configured for communicating with a remote transmitter unit coupled with a glucose sensor. The glucose sensor generates data signals associated with a glucose level. The receiver unit includes a processor, a display, and a memory for storing instructions which, when executed by the processor: access a transmitter key associated with the remote transmitter unit; transmit a command to the remote transmitter unit after verifying the transmitter key; receive communication packets from the remote transmitter unit including a first data segment with data signals indicative of the glucose level and a second data segment with information corresponding to a remaining life of the remote transmitter unit; estimate a remaining life of the remote transmitter unit; process the data signals; and output the estimated remaining life and the processed data signals for display.
DEOXYHEMOGLOBIN IN MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING
Deoxyhemoglobin in a subject may be modulated to act as a contrast agent for use in magnetic resonance imaging. Sequential gas delivery may be applied to adjust the level of deoxyhemoglobin in the subject. A suitable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) pulse sequence that is sensitive to magnetic field inhomogeneities, such as a blood-oxygen-level dependent (BOLD) sequence, may be used to detect deoxyhemoglobin as a contrast agent.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LIMB ALIGNMENT
The present invention provides, in certain embodiments, a device for determining the tibial mechanical axis and the femoral mechanical axis. The present invention also provides a surgical orientation device, a reference device, and/or a module configured to track the mechanical axes during movement to facilitate limb alignment. The present invention further provides the surgical orientation device, the reference device, and/or the module configured to determine a gap measurement.
Joint Sensing
A method of calibrating a pair of body mounted sensors, the method comprising the steps of: (a) in a baseline position of a joint to be measured, determining a first offset between a measured joint angle and an angle between pair of sensors, one mounted on each side of the joint to be measured, so as to calibrate the sensors; (b) after at least one of the sensors has been removed and reapplied, placing the joint back into the baseline position such that the sensors are in a second configuration relative to each other; and (c) determining a second offset between the measured knee angle and an angle between the pair of sensors in the second configuration in order to recalibrate the sensors such that, in each of the first and second configurations, the same joint angle for the baseline position is reported.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING BLOOD PRESSURE
An apparatus for estimating blood pressure according to an example embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a pulse wave sensor configured to measure a pulse wave signal from an object; and a processor configured to obtain a first feature and a heart rate based on the pulse wave signal, estimate a mean arterial pressure (MAP) based on the first feature and the heart rate, and estimate a first blood pressure based on the MAP and a pulse pressure (PP).
PRESSURE BASED STRUCTURAL HEART ASSESSMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The heart valve assessment systems described herein advantageously provide indicators of a heart valve condition, such as a pressure gradient or a valve regurgitation index. The heart valve assessment systems can provide indicators of a heart valve condition during a heart procedure. A pressure gradient indicates a severity or measurement of the narrowing (or stenosis) of a valve by the increase in pressure behind it. A valve regurgitation index indicates a leakiness measurement of a valve.
