POSTURE DETECTION USING HEARING INSTRUMENTS
A processing system obtain signals that are generated by or generated based on sensors that are included in one or more hearing instruments. Additionally, the processing system determine, based on the signals, whether a posture of a user of the hearing instruments is a target posture. The processing system generate information based on the posture of the user.

According to the present technology, it is possible to provide a living body information measurement apparatus and a living body information measuring method that make it possible to discriminate the state of the living body with high accuracy.
ASSESSMENT OF POSITION OF MOTION TRACKERS ON A SUBJECT BASED ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
Motion tracking systems and methods for determining how trackers are positioned on body members of a person, the methods including: wirelessly receiving, by a computing device, one or more first data packets of each tracker; digitally determining a first direction in which the computing device is relative to the respective tracker by computing an angle of departure of the one or more first data packets; digitally determining based on the first directions, a second direction in which each tracker is relative to one or more other trackers; and digitally determining on which body member is each tracker positioned on the person at least based on both the second directions and the body members requiring to have a tracker positioned thereon. Also, systems and methods in which angles of arrival are computed for determining the first directions.
Device, system, and method for providing a calibration fluid for the calibration and quality control of a respiratory gas analysis device
A device for providing a calibration fluid, in particular a nitrogen oxide, for calibrating a respiratory gas analysis device, includes a first interface for connecting a chamber of the device to a measurement path of the respiratory gas analysis device, a first opening for introducing a reactant carrier with a first reactant into the chamber, and a contact element. The contact element is arranged in the chamber relative to the first opening such that when the reactant carrier is introduced, a contact of the contact element with the reactant carrier is facilitated in order to trigger a chemical reaction of the first reactant so as to generate the calibration fluid. The disclosure further relates to a system, a reactant carrier, and a method for providing a calibration fluid for calibrating a respiratory gas analysis device.
Biological information measuring apparatus, method and program
A biological information measuring apparatus includes a detector, a measuring unit, a calculator, and a determining unit. The detector detects pulse waves continuously. The measuring unit measures first biological information. The calculator calculates second biological information from the pulse waves based on the first biological information. The measuring unit suspends the measurement and resumes the measurement after a lapse of a period in a case where the determining unit does not determine that the result of measurement is normal, and the measuring unit continues the measurement in other cases where the body motion is not generated, the pulse waves are not irregular or the blood pressure value fails to vary.
Apparatus and method for generating metabolism model
An apparatus for generating a metabolism model may include a processor configured to obtain a predetermined number of bio-information profiles from a bio-sensor, extract a representative bio-information profile from the obtained predetermined number of bio-information profiles, and generate the metabolism model for correcting an error of the bio-sensor by using the extracted representative bio-information profile.
Implantable monitoring device and method of operating the implantable monitoring device
An implantable monitoring device includes first sensors to measure state information of one or both of a posture and an activity of a user and second sensors to measure bioinformation of two or more of an electrocardiogram (ECG) of a heart of the user, a pulmonary impedance of a lung of the user, a movement of the heart, a movement of a thorax including the lung, and a respiratory quotient (RQ) of the lung, two electrodes to detect bioinformation to measure one or both of the ECG and the pulmonary impedance, an analog circuit to process the detected bioinformation to measure the one or both of the ECG and the pulmonary impedance, and a processor to monitor an abnormal state of the heart and the lung of the user based on the state information and the bioinformation.
Manufacturing controls for sensor calibration using fabrication measurements
Medical devices, systems and methods are provided. One method involves obtaining fabrication process measurement data for a plurality of instances of a sensing element, obtaining reference output measurement data from the plurality of instances in response to a reference stimulus, determining a predictive model for a measurement output of the sensing element as a function of fabrication process measurement variables based on the relationship between the fabrication process measurement data and the reference output measurement data, generating a simulated output measurement distribution across a range of the fabrication process measurement variables using the predictive model, identifying performance thresholds for the measurement output based on the simulated output measurement distribution, obtaining output measurement data from the instance of the sensing element in response to the reference stimulus, and verifying the output measurement data satisfies the performance threshold prior to calibrating a subsequent instance of the sensing element.
ILLUMINATION COMPENSATION IN IMAGING
In an embodiment, a method (100) is described. The method comprises obtaining (102) a three-dimensional representation of a body surface. The method further comprises obtaining illumination information for the three-dimensional representation that is indicative of an orientation of the body surface relative to a reference axis. The method further comprises determining illumination compensation information (104). The illumination compensation information is used (106) to compensate for an illumination variation apparent from the illumination information in an image of the body surface.
