BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR DEVICE AND METHOD
20190099091 · 2019-04-04 ·

The present invention is system for measuring, monitoring and management of a user's physiological condition(s). Measurement data for the user's physiological conditions are stored in an electronic memory and can be transmitted to a central processing network, a physician and emergency medical services. The central processing network contains one or more central processors with algorithms that analyze the user's physiological measurement data by comparison to established thresholds in order to determine the systolic and diastolic pressures of the user.

Multi-protocol heart rate monitor

Embodiments described herein provide for monitoring a user's heart rate. One embodiment comprises a heart rate monitor that includes a pair of contacts that are configured to electrically couple to one of a pair of sensors in a garment worn by a user. The monitor detects a change in impedance across the contacts, and responsive to the impedance being below a threshold, the monitor senses a cardiac electrical activity of the user utilizing the pair of sensors. The monitor calculates a heart rate of the user based on the cardiac electrical activity, determines if the heart rate is within a range of heart rate values, and responsive to the heart rate being within the range of heart rate values, the monitor simultaneously transmits the heart rate utilizing different protocols to at least one external device.

A body-wearable garment having a hood activated speaker is provided. The body-wearable garment comprises a hood. The body-wearable garment further comprises a speaker integrated within the hood. The speaker is activated in response to receiving a signal from a sensor indicating that the hood is in a deployed state.

Intraoral moisture measuring device

An intraoral moisture measuring device includes: a swing member that swings with respect to a main body about a predetermined swing center; a moisture amount detection unit provided at a tip of the swing member, for detecting a moisture amount by being directly or indirectly abutted against a measurement site in a mouth; and a biasing member for biasing the swing member in one of swing directions. Consequently, the intraoral moisture measuring device is capable of measuring intraoral moisture in a simple and highly-accurate manner.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING WEARING STATE OF A WEARABLE DEVICE

A method for detecting a wearing state of a wearable device, comprising: detecting an acceleration of the wearable device by using an acceleration sensor and activating the detection of wearing state of the wearable device when the acceleration of the wearable device changes: detecting the distance between the wearable device and an adjacent object by using a proximity sensor, and activating a heart rate sensor and a temperature sensor when the distance between the wearable device and the adjacent object is less than a preset distance threshold; and determining that the wearable device is in a state of being worn when the data detected by the heart rate sensor satisfy a preset heart rate condition, and a surface temperature of the adjacent object detected by the temperature sensor satisfies a preset temperature condition. Also disclosed is an apparatus for detecting a wearing state of a wearable device.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AN INCREASED GYROSCOPIC RATE SENSOR

A sensor module includes multiple accelerometers mounted in a non-collinear arrangement onto a printed circuit board. A processor obtains linear acceleration vectors from each of the accelerometers and through the constraint imposed by the the non-collinear arrangement of the accelerometers onto the printed circuit board, the angular velocity vector of the sensor may be derived by the processor from the linear acceleration vectors.

Method And System For Dynamic And Automatic Selection And Configuration Of Processing Or Conditioning Profiles For Characterization Of Physiological Signals

In the present invention, a configuration system for an electrophysiology (EP) study system provides the physician with the ability to input or select the particular procedure to be performed utilizing the EP system, such as performing an ablation procedure, a pacing procedure, or a diagnostic procedure, among others based on the clinical objective of the procedure. Based on the selection of the procedure to be performed, the EP system can handle the selection and switching of different filter selections for a physiological signal to achieve an optimal signal profile having a clinically acceptable display regardless of acquisition conditions with the minimum of user intervention, or knowledge. These selections may be automatically derived, or manually selected, or over-ridden by the user as needed within any typically, or atypical procedural workflow.

Remote control and interaction with implanted devices

A method for interaction with a medical device that is implanted in a body of a patient. The method includes detecting, using an inertial sensor, an arcuate motion of a wireless communication device terminating in physical contact between the wireless communication device and the body. In response to the detected arcuate motion, a wireless communication link is actuated between the wireless communication device and a transmitter in the implanted medical device. The wireless communication device data receives transmitted over the wireless communication link by the transmitter.
