SMALL FORM FACTOR IN VIVO NMR BIOMETRIC MONITOR
Methods and apparatus for determining at least one metabolic state of a subject using a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) monitoring device. The NMR monitoring device comprises at least one magnet configured to generate a primary magnetic field, a transceiver coil arranged within the primary magnetic field, wherein the transceiver coil is configured to apply a time series of radiofrequency (RF) pulses to a portion of a subject located within the primary magnetic field and detect an NMR signal generated in response to application of the time series of RF pulses, and an NMR spectrometer communicatively coupled to the transceiver coil. The NMR spectrometer is configured to process the detected NMR signal to determine at least one metabolic state of the subject.
Advanced Respiratory Monitor and System
Disclosed is a bioimpedance measurement system: A stabilized high frequency current generator is connected to PadSet electrodes via a Patient Cable. Electrodes are connected to an adaptive circuit that conditions the resulting voltage signal and converts it to digital form. Firmware performs signal acquisition and relays data to the device.
Advanced electronic instrumentation for electrical impedance myography
Embodiments of devices and methods for evaluating tissue are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for measuring a characteristic of a tissue may include passing a current through the tissue, measuring a signal corresponding to the voltage resulting from passing the current through the tissue, analyzing current passed through the tissue and resulting voltage to determine the electrical characteristics of the tissue; and analyzing the electrical characteristics of the tissue to determine a status of the tissue. Disposable sensors are disclosed.
BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION ACQUIRING SYSTEM
A biological signal acquirer is attached to a subject and acquires a biological signal of the subject. A transmitter carried by the subject transmits the biological signal. A first communication port and a first camera are installed in a first location and connectable to a network. A second communication port and a second camera are installed in a second location and connectable to the network. A biological information acquiring device is connectable to the network and provided with a switcher. The switcher acquires, when communication establishment between the transmitter and the first communication port is detected, the biological signal through the first communication port as well as a first image taken by the first camera, and acquires, when communication establishment between the transmitter and the second communication port is detected, the biological signal through the second communication port as well as a second image taken by the second camera.
ULTRASONIC SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
An ultrasonic surgical instrument includes an elongated assembly releasably engagable with an ultrasonic transducer and including a waveguide having a blade at a distal end and a torque adapter towards a proximal end. Fixed and movable sleeves are disposed about the waveguide and support and operably couple to a jaw member at the respective distal ends thereof. A drive tube is fixed to the movable sleeve such that translation of the drive tube pivots the jaw member relative to the blade. A torque housing is slidably disposed about the drive tube, longitudinally fixed about the fixed sleeve, and fixedly about the torque adapter. A rotation knob is longitudinally fixed about the torque housing and operably coupled to the torque housing such that the torque housing and the rotation knob cooperate to define a torque wrench inhibit application of additional torque to the waveguide above a torque limit.
CATHETER
Provided is a catheter that includes a catheter tube and a temperature sensor. The catheter tube includes a tip-flexible part and a base end part. The base end part includes a first base end section having rigidity higher than the tip-flexible part, and a second base end section having rigidity lower than the first base end section. The tip-flexible part has an axial length from 40 mm to 100 mm, the first base end section has an axial length from 200 mm to 400 mm, and the second base end section has an axial length from 200 mm to 900 mm. A value of the rigidity of each of the first and the second base end sections decreases linearly from the first base end section to the second base end section, in a region around a boundary between the first base end section and the second base end section.
Phono-Electro-Cardiogram Monitoring Unit
A Phono-Electro-Cardiogram Monitoring Unit that detects and monitors ECG and PCG signal comprising a phono-electro-cardiogram sensor button capable of electrical conduction of the electrical potential changes arising from the heart activity of a user or a patient. The sensor button includes a microphone which allows detection of electrocardiography signal and phonocardiogram signal simultaneously and the detected electrocardiography signal and phonocardiogram signal are processed by a multifunction microprocessor and the processed electrocardiography signal and phonocardiogram signal data are stored in a memory or be transmitted to a work station or a personal cloud for further processing and storing where the data can be forwarded to authorized individuals via wireless connectivity for communication, interpretation, service and help.
