Liquid detergent compositions that include a mixture of ecologically-responsible surfactants
A detergent composition includes an anionic detergent surfactant blend including alkyl ethoxylate sulfate (AES) and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). A weight ratio of AES to SLS is from about 5:1 to about 1:5. The detergent composition further includes a nonionic detergent surfactant. A weight ratio of the anionic detergent surfactant blend to nonionic detergent surfactant is from about 3:1 to about 1:3. Still further, the detergent composition includes water. A bio-based carbon content of the detergent composition based on ASTM D6866 is from about 50% to about 100% by weight of the overall detergent composition.
FABRIC CARE COMPOSITIONS, METHODS OF USE FOR REDUCING MICROFIBER RELEASE FROM FABRICS, AND ARTICLES EXHIBITING IMPROVED RESISTANCE TO MICROFIBER RELEASE
Presently provided are compositions and method that are effective to prevent or reduce formation and/or release of microplastics, particularly microfibers, from fibers, from fabrics including fibers, and articles incorporating fabrics that include fibers. The fibers particularly can be synthetic fibers. Articles, fabrics, and fibers exhibiting such properties are likewise provided. Such properties particularly can be imparted through use of conditioning and/or softening polymers that can be provided in the present compositions to be contacted with the fibers so that the polymers adhere to or otherwise bind with the fibers. Encompassed compositions include laundry compositions and other compositions suitable for application to fibers and fabrics including such fibers. Encompassed methods can be effective for preventing or reducing release of microfibers to the environment.
SANITIZING RINSE BASED ON QUAT-ANIONIC SURFACTANT SYNERGY
Rinse aids and sanitizing rinse aids for various applications, including institutional machine sanitizing are disclosed. In particular, concentrated and use compositions, such as concentrated liquid rinse aid compositions, employing a synergistic combination of a quaternary ammonium compound and anionic surfactant are disclosed. In particular, the present invention provides compositions and methods of a sanitizing rinse providing desired antimicrobial efficacy against a broad spectrum of gram negative microbes, suitable foaming profiles, and beneficial applications of use of the same, including low temperature sanitizing rinse are provided.
WATER-SOLUBLE UNIT DOSE ARTICLE
A water-soluble unit dose article containing an alkyl sulphate. A use thereof.
FIBROUS ELEMENTS COMPRISING POLYETHYLENE OXIDE
Fibrous elements containing one or more fibrous element-forming materials and one or more polyethylene oxides, and methods for making same are provided.
Lipase Variants and Polynucleotides Encoding Same
The present invention relates to a variant of a parent lipase, wherein said variant has at least 60% but less than 100% sequence identity with SEQ ID NO: 2; has lipase activity; has substitutions corresponding to G91A and N92D in the lid region located from position G82 to position I100 of SEQ ID NO: 2; has one or more additional substitutions in the lid region; and has at least mutations in positions corresponding to position T231 and position N233 of SEQ ID NO: 2. The present invention also relates to compositions, methods for cleaning a surface using a variant or a composition of the invention; polynucleotides encoding the variants; nucleic acid constructs, vectors, host cells comprising the polynucleotides; methods of using the variants; and methods for obtaining the lipase variant.
A HARD SURFACE CLEANING COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a hard surface cleaning composition. There is a need for improved cleaning compositions for providing antimicrobial benefit in addition to cleaning benefit. The inventors have found that an aqueous composition comprising 0.01 to 20% by weight alkene amide; 0.01 to 20% by weight glycol ether of formula (I): R1O(R2O)nR3; where: —R1 is a linear or branched alkyl or phenyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; —R2 is ethyl or isopropyl; —n is 1,2,3; —R3 is hydrogen or a linear or branched alkyl or phenyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; 0.1 to 50% by weight surfactant; and at least 10% by weight water, provides significant antimicrobial benefit.
Fabric care composition comprising silicone and quaternary ammonium-functionalized carbohydrate polymer
A fabric care composition is provided including water; a cleaning surfactant; a fabric softening silicone; and a modified carbohydrate polymer having a weight average molecular weight of <500,000 Daltons and a Kjeldahl nitrogen content corrected for ash and volatiles, TKN, of ≥0.5 wt %; wherein the modified carbohydrate polymer is a carbohydrate polymer functionalized with quaternary ammonium moieties; wherein the quaternary ammonium moieties on the modified carbohydrate polymer include: trimethyl ammonium moieties having formula (I) ##STR00001##
and dimethyl(alkyl) ammonium moieties having formula (II) ##STR00002##
