Laundry detergent sheet with microcapsules

A method of making a non-fibrous laundry detergent sheet can include dispensing a microcapsule onto a precursor non-fibrous laundry detergent sheet, wherein the precursor non-fibrous laundry detergent sheet can include: (a) at least one surfactant; (b) at least one film former; and (c) a thickness ranging from 0.1 mm to 10 mm.

SYNERGISTIC SURFACTANT PACKAGE FOR CLEANING OF FOOD AND OILY SOILS

The disclosure relates a surfactant package for use in hard surface cleaning compositions, preferably floor cleaning compositions which pair an anionic linear alkyl sulfonate surfactant and a nonionic surfactant in a ratio of 1:1 to 9:1. This combination provides for synergistic cleaning of both proteinaceous food soils (red soils) and hydrocarbon-based oily soils (black soils) while also reducing foam produced by the composition. Synergistic nonionic surfactants include EO/PO alcohol alkoxylates or EO/PO fatty alcohol surfactants with a propylene oxide to ethylene oxide to ratio of greater than 1.

and one or more structural units of the formula (II)

##STR00002##

and one or more terminal groups of the formula (III-a) or mixtures thereof

##STR00003##

wherein R.sup.1 is a linear or branched alkyl group comprising from 7 to 30 carbon atoms or a linear or branched alkenyl group comprising one or more double bonds and from 7 to 30 carbon atoms or mixtures thereof, a is, based on a molar average, a number from 1 to 200, and R.sup.2 is a linear or branched alkylene group (C.sub.mH.sub.2m) with m being a number from 2 to 10 or mixtures thereof.

The polyesters are particularly suited to be used as soil release agents.

LAUNDRY DETERGENT COMPOSITION

An article is provided including an aqueous liquid detergent; and a package for the aqueous liquid detergent which is in direct contact with the aqueous liquid detergent, wherein the package is formed from a water-soluble, film-forming material. The aqueous liquid detergent includes: at least about 40% by weight of water based on the total weight of the aqueous liquid detergent; a builder comprising potassium carbonate, wherein the potassium carbonate is present in an amount of at least about 25 weight percent, based on the total weight of the aqueous liquid detergent; propylene glycol diacetate; and at least one surfactant.
