Certain alkyl mono-alcohols provide low temperature stability benefits to isotropic liquid detergent compositions.

This disclosure relates to photoresist stripping compositions containing 1) at least one water soluble polar aprotic organic solvent; 2) at least one alcohol solvent; 3) at least one quaternary ammonium hydroxide; 4) water; 5) at least one copper corrosion inhibitor selected from 6-substituted-2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazines; and 6) optionally, at least one defoaming surfactant.

The present invention relates to fabric enhancer compositions as well as the methods of making and using same. Such fabric enhancer compositions comprise a quaternary ammonium ester fabric softening active, a branched, ethoxylated nonionic surfactant and perfume. Such fabric enhancer compositions exhibit improved freeze-thaw stability while also delivering the softening benefits that are desired by consumers.

The present invention comprises a hard surface cleaning composition including an environmentally friendly alkyl amide solvent, derived from renewable bio-based resources that works at least as well as d-limonene. In one embodiment, the present invention is a cleaning composition including an anionic surfactant salt, a saturated C.sub.8 to C.sub.10 alkyl amide solvent, a cosolvent and water. The composition is substantially free of d-limonene and can remove red food soils with up to 20 percent protein, and also functions as an asphalt removal composition.

A water-soluble unit dose article comprising a concentrated laundry detergent composition, wherein the laundry detergent composition comprises from 45% to 65% by weight of the composition of non-soap surfactant comprising anionic non-soap surfactant and nonionic surfactant wherein the composition comprises more than 25% by weight of the composition of non-soap anionic surfactant; wherein the nonionic surfactant comprises alcohol ethoxylate surfactant and the weight ratio of non-soap anionic surfactant to non-ionic surfactant is less than or equal to 1.5:1; from 5% to 20% by weight of the composition of organic solvent; and from 5% to 25% by weight of the composition of water.

A water-soluble unit dose article comprising a concentrated laundry detergent composition, wherein the laundry detergent composition comprises from 45% to 65% by weight of the composition of non-soap surfactant comprising anionic non-soap surfactant and nonionic surfactant, wherein the anionic non-soap surfactant comprises linear alkylbenzene sulphonate and alkyl sulphate in a weight ratio of from 1:2 to 9:1; wherein the nonionic surfactant comprises alcohol ethoxylate surfactant and the weight ratio of non-soap anionic surfactant to non-ionic surfactant is less than or equal to 1.5:1; from 5% to 20% by weight of the composition of organic solvent; and from 5% to 25% by weight of the composition of water.

The need for a liquid detergent composition comprising alkyl sulfate anionic surfactant which comprises little or no alkoxylation which provides a Newtonian viscosity profile over a larger shear rate range, and where the composition viscosity is less affected by changes in temperature, is met by formulating the liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition that comprises branched alkyl sulphate anionic surfactant with an average degree of alkoxylation of less than 0.5 and with the specific alkyl branching distribution as described herein, in combination with a co-surfactant selected from the group consisting of an amphoteric surfactant, a zwitterionic surfactant, and mixtures thereof, in the weight ratio of the anionic surfactant to the co-surfactant of from 2.0:1 to 8.0:1.

The need for liquid hand dishwashing cleaning compositions that comprise alkyl sulfate anionic surfactant having little or no ethoxylation, which provides improved low temperature stability while also achieving the desired product viscosity, suds mileage and overall cleaning is met by formulating the liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition to comprise branched alkyl sulfate anionic surfactant having a high level of non-C2-branching, especially with a specific alkyl branching distribution, and an average degree of alkoxylation of less than 0.5.

The invention is a windshield washer preparation, a method for producing the preparation and a device that produces the preparation. The method uses the dehydration of methanol and distillation of dimethyl ether to produce the preparation and a propellant for pressurized packaging. The washer preparation contains deionized water, methanol, dimethyl ether, dimethyl carbonate and additional compounds selected from the group consisting of dyes, de-foaming agents and surfactants. The disclosed method and device can formulate varying combinations of methanol, deionized water and dimethyl ether using the methanol dehydration reaction prior to the addition of dimethyl carbonate. The preparation can be used in automobile washer reservoirs or directly on the windshield using trigger spray applicators or an aerosol can. The excess dimethyl ether from the method can be used taken from the system and stored for future use.

Disclosed is a method for treating a system, the method comprising providing a composition comprising HCl, urea, complex substituted keto-amine-hydrochloride, at least one alcohol selected from the group consisting of isopropyl alcohol and propargyl alcohol, an ethoxylate, and at least one ketone selected from the group consisting of methyl vinyl ketone, acetone, and acetophenone; and inserting the composition into at least one of an oil well and a gas well.
