UPPER COIL ASSEMBLY OF AN RF PROBE FOR USE IN AN MRI SYSTEM
An upper coil assembly for use with a lower RF coil assembly mounted to provide an RF probe arranged to be engaged with a head of a patient in MRI includes a plurality of coil loops arranged in a row defining a phase shift coil array with each coil loop including an independent output conductor for communicating signals to a respective preamplifier for independent amplification and each coil loop including a plurality of capacitors at spaced positions therearound. To decouple the loops each coil loop partly overlaps a next coil loop with a first decoupling capacitor shared on a common portion of each coil loop and each next coil loop. The first and third coil loops are also decoupled by using third decoupling capacitor in a connecting conductor between the first and third coil loops.
Surgical tool systems and methods
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a surgical robot system may include an end-effector element configured for controlled movement and positioning and tracking of surgical instruments and objects relative to an image of a patient's anatomical structure. In some embodiments the end-effector and instruments may be tracked by surgical robot system and displayed to a user. In some embodiments, tracking of a target anatomical structure and objects, both in a navigation space and an image space, may be provided by a dynamic reference base located at a position away from the target anatomical structure.
AUTOMATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EMERGENCY SCENARIOS
In one general aspect, in an embodiment, a method is performed by a computer system. The method includes providing a user interface having a user interface control that simulates chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The method also includes receiving a real-time simulated compression indicator via the user interface control. The method also includes recording information related to the real-time simulated compression indicator in a compression time series. The method also includes providing, in the user interface, real-time feedback regarding a time distribution of at least a portion of the compression time series.
Robotic arm cart and uses therefor
In some embodiments, an apparatus can include a robotic arm cart for transporting, delivering, and securing robotic arms to a surgical table having a table top on which a patient can be disposed. The arm cart can include an arm container and a base. The arm container can be configured to receive and contain one or more robotic arms. The arm cart can include a first coupling member configured to engage with a second coupling member associated with a surgical table such that, when the first coupling member is engaged with the second coupling member, the one or more robotic arms can be releasably coupled with the surgical table. The arm cart can provide for movement of the one or more robotic arms in at least one of a lateral, longitudinal, or vertical direction relative to the table top prior to the securement of the one or more robotic arms to the surgical table.
Systems, apparatus and methods for properly locating items
Systems, methods and apparatus are disclosed for properly using and locating object retention wands via the use of at least one sensor located on or in the wand body for determining when the wand is capable of properly scanning a target area. In one form, a proximity sensor is used. In another form a motion sensor is used. In still other forms, both a proximity sensor and motion sensor are used. In some forms, the wand system further includes an indicator for indicating whether the wand is within proper read range, speed and/or orientation of a target area so as to confirm proper use of the wand to locate retained objects before concluding a procedure. In other forms one or more of a user interface, scanner and network interface may also be used with the system. Further systems, methods and apparatus are also disclosed herein.
Method and apparatus for indicating continence state of a patient on a bed
A patient support apparatus includes a frame and a mattress supported by the frame and arranged to support a patient thereon. A sensor is included to detect moisture on the patient and/or the patient support apparatus. The sensor produces signals indicative of the presence of moisture on the patient support apparatus. One or more alerts are output in response to the signals provided by the sensor to notify a caregiver of the presence of moisture on the patient support apparatus.
Tray arm assembly including a joint with a two-tier friction mechanism
Particular embodiments disclosed herein provide a joint of a tray arm assembly, comprising a joint body, a shaft configured to rotate relative to the joint body about a longitudinal axis of the shaft, and a slip clutch assembly, comprising a clutch stack, including a plurality of first clutch plates keyed to the shaft and a plurality of second clutch plates keyed to the joint body. The clutch stack further comprises a spring configured to selectively exert a force on the clutch stack, wherein the force compresses the clutch stack causing a friction between the plurality of first clutch plates and the plurality of second clutch plates with respect to a rotation of the shaft relative to the joint body.
NEWBORN RESPIRATION MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A newborn respiration monitoring system includes a flow sensor that measures a gas flow and a CO.sub.2 sensor that measures a CO.sub.2 within the breathing circuit for an infant. The system further includes a resuscitation module executable on a processor of a computing system to receive the flow measurement and the CO.sub.2 measurement and determine respiratory information for the infant. A digital display is communicatively connected to the computing system and displays the respiratory information.
MEDICAL DEVICE WITH ENHANCED USER INTERFACE CONTROLS
A patient monitoring interface of a medical device includes a modifier screen including parameter selection regions having a predetermined size. At least one of the plurality of parameter selection regions includes parameter setting option subregions. A total set of parameter setting options includes a default subset of parameter setting options and a secondary subset of parameter setting options. In a primary display mode, the parameter selection region displays the default subset of parameter setting options in the predetermined number of parameter setting option subregions and an indicator region, with the secondary subset of parameter setting options not displayed. The indicator region is selectable to cause display of one or more of the secondary subset of parameter setting options in one or more of the parameter setting option subregions in place of a corresponding one or more of the default subset of parameter setting options.
