EMULSION DISINFECTING, SANITIZING, AND CLEANING COMPOSITIONS MADE WITH ANTIMICROBIAL AGENTS
Disclosed are exemplary antimicrobial emulsions having hydrophobic and/or hydrophilic antimicrobial agents, surfactants, solubilizing agents, metal chelators and optionally thickening agents. The emulsions have a small particle size and high zeta potential. The emulsions are effective in cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting surfaces and are effective in killing a variety of organisms. The emulsions are stable and have a long shelf life. Other example materials are also disclosed.
Controlled rate of foam breakage in hard surface cleaners
The present invention relates to mildly alkaline bathroom and/or hard surface cleaners providing improved foam performance. In particular, a concentrated, preferably disinfecting, high performance foaming cleaning composition is disclosed which can reduce or eliminate the need for scrubbing on bathroom and other hard surfaces. Methods of use are further disclosed for bathroom and/or other hard surface cleaning. The foam has increased stability for a period of time, followed by dissipation with an audible crackling sound and easy rinsability.
ENCAPSULATED SOLID ENZYME PRODUCT
A pouch comprising a wall forming a chamber, the wall comprising a water-soluble polymer, and the chamber containing a particulate solid comprising an enzyme, and a liquid comprising a surfactant and/or a polyol. A method of preparing a pouch and a method of preparing an enzyme-containing detergent composition are disclosed.
Liquid detergent formulation containing peroxide and a metal-based bleach catalyst
A stable, liquid bleach composition is disclosed. The composition comprises a peroxide-based bleaching agent, water, a metal catalyst, and a polyol. The polyol is a secondary solvent that promote peroxide stability in the presence of a catalyst.
NOVEL USE OF NONIONICS AS RHEOLOGY MODIFIERS IN LIQUID CLEANING SOLUTIONS
The invention involves liquid cleaning compositions that are cocamide DEA free. According to the invention, nonionic surfactants can be used as rheology modifiers in combination with various coupling agents to provide an environmentally friendly alternative for traditional liquid cleaning compositions that rely on cocamide DEA thickening agents.
APE-free laundry emulsifier
A detergent emulsifier for laundry and other hard surface cleaning using an APE-free surfactant blend is disclosed. The emulsifier system is efficacious for removal of oily soils and greasy food removal. The compositions according to the invention include linear and branched fatty alcohol ethoxylates and ethoxylate propoxylate block copolymers. Methods of using the same are disclosed.
NON-CORROSIVE CLEANING COMPOSITION
A cleaning composition, which is self-adhering upon application to a hard surface, is provided. The cleaning composition includes an adhesion promoter, water and a sufficient amount of a basic agent, such that a mixture of the composition with deionized water has a pH of at least about 10. The adhesion promoter typically includes one or more organic compounds, each containing at least one hydrophilic group. The cleaning compositions may also include at least one surfactant selected from the group of: anionic, nonionic, cationic, amphoteric, and/or zwitterionic surfactants; where one or more of the surfactants may serve all or in part as the adhesion promoter.
Composition for cleaning and assessing cleanliness in real-time
This disclosure describes a composition which can provide real-time feedback during medical device cleaning or reprocessing. The composition can be used to monitor the amount of biological material cleaned from medical devices and to determine when cleaning is complete. The disclosure also relates to a method of cleaning, or assessing the cleanliness of, a medical device such as an endoscope. Cleanliness can be assessed by contacting the medical device with the composition, shining an excitation light on the composition, and measuring intensity of resulting fluorescence over time.
